I am in a new town, so I have no social circle here at all. I have made friends with co workers (one is a huge afc, and one is too alpha and in a relationship and blows out sets like a champ)

I chose tonight (and most nights) to go out solo, and I really have a hard time generating social proof.

What makes it more awkward is that I am in a smaller city, of 70,000 people. Most girls my age (26) seem to be either very unattractive or engaged.

I used openers I've had some success with in the past, tonight, and got totally blown out at every turn. girls just weren't having it. It shot my confidence to shit. I don't get it at all.

I want this life - I want to master it. I'm stuck, and frustrated.

Begin the new guy can be good as you come with no baggage

70,000 is big enough to find 100 NB9/10's in. You ride all them and you will be a master not an afc

Get opening sets and keep you game up and you'll get a reputation

This setting I am in is seemingly different. It's rural and "country" in the bible belt. I went out mildly peacocked dressed in a way that would have worked fine elsewhere - and girls here just werent interested. I got very few looks etc.

When I opened, with kinda standard stuff, like, the jealous girlfriend opener etc, I couldn't get any of them to hook. At all. As soon as I approached their eyes were wandering - and negging them, false time constraints, and etc just weren't at all effective.

Any advice? Anyone else run game in a country sort of college town where every single girl wears some sort of american eagle abercrombie and fitch shit?

Maybe I need new openers.

I would tone down your game. If its a small town they might not get the typical conversational flow. I would try just being honest. Say that you are new in town and are out trying to open your social circle. Then go into your interested to find out if country girls are different then city girls....
