The cure for drunken fuck ups is prevention. Obviously, unless you want the game to take up every waking part of your life, not getting drunk is unlikely, so when you do get drunk try to avoid that kind of situation.
The only time I really get on the piss is when I'm with my mates, and I always stick with them. Usually its at someones house just having a gathering. That limits the amount of damage I can do with drunken stupidness to my circle of tight friends.
As for after the damage is done thats hard. Ignoring it isn't going to work, she'll think your trying to hide it. Just say it was a special occasion, and your mates shouted you a few too many drinks. The key is to make it look like it was an accident but not apoligise IMO... I dunno it is a tough one.
