Can you help me out on an approach here?

I always get a girl saying she has to go while I'm talking in the first few minutes. Is there something I can do to keep talking to her? This is even before asking her to sit down with me. This always happens to me. I always say ahh come on lets talk for 15 mintues more but it doesn't work. Does this happen to you? Help!

You dont have to pretend you didn´t hear her just act as though she didn´t hear her. Some times this will work well and sometimes it wont, you dont know until you try."

What youre doing appears similiar to my cold solicitation technique for business. The problem is transferring it from friendly talk to attraction, which Im not noticing.

I dont know your situation but I wonder if success rate with this formula depends on the culture of the people involved. For example, in rural areas where people are more friendly one might get the a conversation going. In a place like NYC where when you say hello to someone, they have a telephone in their ear and walk past you unless your first impression is so mesmerizing to get their attention. Also, if a 40-50 year old is approaching a 20-25 year old in the same way, Im not sure if the results will be the same or result in either fear or attack.

In the youtube comments, someone said that scandanvian girls are more friendly in talking but not going farther. Perhaps its a more friendlier culture. Also, Im not sure what youre really doing in the area of PUA in the video.

You´re actually making a lot of assumptions about what would or what would not work that arent actually true. For example these videos were filmed in London which is very similar to NYC, also I´m almost 40 (38 in a few months) and the girls in the video are both 21.

In terms of doing PUA and doing things to create attraction this whole mindset starts from the assumption that you´re fundamentally unattractive. A more useful mindset is to assume that you are attractive and that just being yourself and letting a woman know that you´re interested in her is enough.

Any type of cold approaching is a numbers game, some attractive women wont like you and some really will. It´s far more productive to find the women who like you rather than trying to win over the ones who dont.

I really agree that cold approaching is a numbers game. The gurus will say they can pull any bird, don't get flakes etc. BS!

That is the reason I try to make it a lifestyle thing. I went shopping earlier and did about 7 direct approaches. I number closed 4 of them, which is way more than I would normally do. Typically I will number close 1 in every 4/5 sets I approach with pure direct. Low success rate I know. I wonder what yours is mate? The good thing is that the ones you do close can sometimes be quite solid and you can definitely get them out for drinks.

I even trained with a really good direct game guy in London and I saw him do 6 sets and get 6 BF objections. I think it's a complete numbers game and the most important thing to do is to get to a good level of competency (shouldnt take long at all) and then just hit the numbers. Accept that rejections/failures will happen way more than successes.

id say thats a great success rate mate.

My success rate is very similar, if I feel I´m not connecting with a girl I approach I dont even bother to ask for the number. Rejection is part of the game if you are direct about your intentions. But in a big city like London how long does it take to talk to 4 or 5 girls? It only takes about an hour or so.

Agreed. I used to ask for the number when the set wasn't really going well but I realized that was a stupid thing to do. I also eject when I'm not feeling it. Heres a question, would you say you are on par with the main direct game instructors in London? I think that you reach a certain level and you should just strive to play the numbers game then.

I can undestand a 30s male to 20s woman working. Are you guys saying that a 40s or 50s male with college ag edwoman is going to work also?

I dont want to get into a position where one could get arrested or in trouble with the law. On of my problems is being older, Im out of touch with current musical information, performers, tv shows, movies and the things most younger people are involved.

I would definitely say it is possible as an older guy. It may be a lower success rate but still very possible to have an abundance of women from it if you hit the numbers. I used to live with a 45 year old guy that was constantly banging girls in their early 20s so it's definitely possible. As for getting arrested, I don't see how you can be arrested for giving a girl a complement. It's just not going to happen. I know one guy who was worried about approaching girls on the street because he feared that someone would see him doing it and take a video and then make fun of him on facebook by creating a facebook page about how this weird guy goes around creeping on women. The chances of that happening are so low that its not even worth considering... same thing with getting arrested I think. As for not being up to date with current pop culture that can be an advantage because you will have genuine curiosity when talking to her about what she likes etc.

What was the 45yo guys technique? curious what he was doing? I hear that some guys can get the girls if they supply drugs or other things which im not into. would like to learn more.

He was just extremely social. He went out clubbing a lot and did a lot of it through social circle but he did have a few that he met during the day, including a really nice young hungarian bird.
