Once I had a porsche garage receipt (long story but it was real) and a girl asked me what it was, and I said in a serious but jokey way, oh, I put a deposit on a 911 carrera .

WING: Yeah were gonna be driving in a porsche next week we'll come pick you up
HB: Wow, I feel so much more attracted to you (sarcastic way)

and I never mentioned it again. But this girl chased me and text me quite a lot and paid for 2 nights out that weekend whie i was driving the Nissan sunny

Even as a AFC I was able to do this, I put no effort in whatsoever, I had no money lol.

Whether she thought I had a porsche or not I will never know as she will be too embarassed to let me know. and deny all knowledge of the conversation.

Could have been a gold digger, could have been attracted to the fact that she couldn't tell if you were serious about it or not, could have been attracted to the fact that you were playing with her (girls love to be teased), or it might not have been a factor at all. Hard to tell with so little info and even with a lot, it's still kinda guessing. I'd say it's one of those things you need to either try again, or once you have enough knowledge, look back and think about it again.
