Your first two goals here are spot on. The third I would caution against. When I was young I went to three different elementary schools and two different high schools. My well meaning parents were always telling me to try to "fit in" to adapt myself for any environment. I tried with some success. It has taken me a long time to realize that by encouraging me to be a chameleon they really robbed me of my sense of self, of that unchanging core that the more successful men seem to have. Being social isn't about adapting yourself to the environment, it's about retaining your self no matter what the environment. That doesn't mean to be uncouth at a black tie affair or pretentious at the monster truck rally, but it does mean being secure in who you are and what your core values are, having a healthy personal boundary and the inner strength to maintain it against the assaults of the small minded. The book
The Way of the Superior Man by David Deida might help if that is something you struggle with like I have.
