I just realized recently that I have never had a reconciliation with any chick. Like literally. It could be she broke up or I broke up. When it's gone it's gone. Even if I try to reconcile it never happened. I'm thinking either i am a total a-hole to every girl and that's why they never even consider taking me back or I am approaching the whole issue the wrong way as far as fights and recovery go. Like I hear all kinds of stories of how a couple have a fight, spend some time apart and come back closer and in a better relationship then ever. I know it's rare, but for me it almost seems like a myth, because i have never reconciled with any freakin chick.
What are the thoughts out there about reconciliation and if it's just a myth.

Some have a fight, reconcile and fight again and just keep repeating until they move on for good. But some fight, spend time apart and end up together in good happy relationships. In fact, most guys I know who've been married for decades all say they go through that one breakup where they both realize what they have and work to get it back better than ever. I don't know. Sounds like a fairy tale based on my experience. With me the chicks don't even want to be friends years later, which again makes me think I must've done quite the number on all these girls.

Since you started this topic i assume you two broke up. I have only had one relationship which i ended after 7 years. We had no contact for monthes. I deeply believed this was right and we schould never get together anymore, EVER! However we reastablished contact and now work on a open relationship. _________________ HI

Am not terribly happy about the decision but she was taking me for granted too much and i had lost too much respect. As i say, with my luck she won't ever look my way again, but i do keep hearing of others who do reconcile and end up in good situations. i am just amazed that it even happens in general because for me reconciliations have never happened.

Unlike men when it comes to marriage, they don't have the luxury of waiting longer to tie the knot.
They go on enough dates, nothing clicks. Then they get nostalgic and think, "Well, who was the best boyfriend I ever had? What's he up to? Is he single? Maybe I'll put a feeler out."
My most recent ex has this problem. I can tell she really wants to get married and have kids right now. She hasn't moved on from me yet. I think she still keeps in touch because she fears she'll never find anyone better. The odd thing is she broke up with me! Go figure. _________________ "Let me ask you something. on my side i broke up with this one only to get the message across that i'm not gonna take her shit anymore but so far she called by bluff and hasn't reached out to me (granted she's travelling and it's only been a week). all i know is if i can't her, i will go back to afc status or worse she will say she doesn't want this and then my breakup becomes hers and she gets the last slap in the face as she leaves. Hence i'm just chilling and meeting other chicks in the meantime.
i just don't believe all these stories of reconciliation because it seems like fairy tales told to chumps.
