How is anything I said in the last email AFC?

I feel like 90% of my conversations consist of huge IOI's then randomly leaving the conversation for know reason at all.

If you ask me, asking about their plans that quickly just seems like a good way to get shut down. I'd mention something about their profile at first just to make it look like you actually give somewhat of a damn about it. Seems to me like you may be going a bit too fast asking them what they are up to right away.
