Was talking to a hb8 yesterday at a surf shop, we had a really good convo. Our convo stopped and i failed to get her number when another attendant came over and told her to get back to work.

During the convo she gave what i thought were many IOIs and she knew who i was cause a girl she used to work with thought i was hot when i would go to their store and apparently wouldnt shut up about me.

Anyway, i also know who she is through friends and its a smallish town so its not hard to track someone down on the fb.

I just went back to the store to return a product (and ask her out) but alas she wasnt working, and i dont want to keep going back in hope shes there.

Is it a bit weird adding her on FB? I could send a msg along the lines of, i thought we had a good chat yesty and after asking Emily (mutual friend) about you i thought i should add you...?? i dont know, give me some pointers there so i dont creep her out. btw we have 40 mutual friends online so thats a good thing i guess.

The reason im doing this is cause im going out of town for another couple weeks on friday and want to nip it in the budd.

if your plan is adding her on facebook for getting her number then sure.
but beware that some girls seek attention from facebook, trust me they can even stop talking to you if you dont reply her comments or comment at some random post which was supposed to be for you (only God and she knows which). good luck my friend

Try this (don't add, just message) "Guess who popped up in my 'people you may know' thing " helps if she actually has at least 1 mutual friend in common with you on there, if you get a friend request + message back (which I'd be pretty certain of happening) then you're off and rolling.
It may have been a good thing about not trying for the details while she was working, some shops can be a bit funny about things like that and if she'd given it to you it may have gotten her into trouble (which she'd then associate to you).

Disagree. That tactic will definitely work. That people you may know thing gives me random people all the time, but I only pay attention to a few of them. It makes perfect sense that he would notice her name where he would otherwise ignore it.

I recommend Musterion's tactic. It's the choice that reveals the least thinking about her. With the others, she knows you liked her so much that you took the time to find her. With his, it becomes a coincidence.

Even if she does think you might have sought her out it gives her a reason to deny it to herself. If she does like you she will be excited, if she doesnt then who cares you never had a shot anyway.
