| On saturday night, I told a girl that I'd been seeing for a while that we should date properly. She told me that she had a boyfriend. I told her to choose. She did, but not the right way.
On Sunday I felt rubbish. 5 months of pretty good gaming her (apart from when I gave her food poisoning) down the drain. I went out and tried to get some day game in for the first time in months. I didn't manage any more than asking for directions until I randomly saw her in town which killed my mood.
Today, I thought that I had to go and use the old classic; "Hey, do you know where the train station is?...Actually, I sort of know where it is, I just thought that you were hot and wanted to know if you were friendly too."
3 times.
I wasn't going home until I'd delivered it 3 times.
Attempt 1; (4PM). I didn't deliver part two, I just got directions.
Delivery 1: (4:10). I delivered part 2. I then stalled. It was awkward. She couldn't leave as she was waiting to cross the road.
I was put off after that went wrong and wandered for a while before finding somewhere quiet to sit down and kick myself back into shape.
Delivery 2: (5:40). Good delivery. She told me that she'd just dropped her bf off at the station. I told her that it must have been nice having two guys compliment her on her looks today. She said that he hadn't. With hindsight, I could have easily moved into a bf destroyer. We chatted for about 90 seconds all in. As an interaction it was slightly above average, in terms of pick-up; sub par.
Failure: Smoking hot girl. I mean really hot. I was getting a little horny just looking at her. Didn't even approach. Kicked myself about this until I had a friendly chat with girl behind counter in supermarket.
Delivery 3: (6:15). Above average delivery. She smiled. No bf comment. I stole lines from Sasha shamelessly (eg. upon removing sunglasses; "wow, you're really hot!"). Loads of eye contact. I noticed a tatoo and assumed a taste in music. I said I loved the indie club in town. I told her about my mate who played there recently. I mention that I need to go shortly. She looks uncomfortable when I say that. Stealing another of Sasha's lines where I ask her if she likes to go dancing (assuming most girls do). She said that she used to work there but didn't go there any more because she felt too old. I said that we'd both go there and feel old together.
I bring out my phone. "Look, penguins!" (I have a background where penguins fall with gravity; all girls love it). After that, I tell her to give me her number so I can take her dancing on Friday night.*
After she types it in, I phone her as "you're so hot I bet that you've got loads of fake numbers memorised". Her phone rings and she shows me. I tell her to enter my name as "Say yes" to make sure she doesn't get second thoughts later.
A minute after leaving her I text her with her new nickname. She replies.
Score.
From feeling really rubbish to getting a solid number close; 3 attempts and 2 hours. Obviously not up there with the masters, but if it's doable by me, it's doable by anyone.
*Blue bit - in my mind, this is a bit like taking a girl to your house the first time 'just to drop something off' or similar so she's familiar with it when you take her back later to make out. Thoughts?
