I'm not much of a clubber, but I like going to parties.

I go to many parties around the area (within 150 mile radius usually) and I know no one there besides my wingman. Naturally, I'm not gonna sit in the corner and talk to my buddy the whole night, so here's what I do to get things going. This has worked exceptionally well for parties of 50+

What you will notice at most parties of 10+ people is that different circles or groups of friends will segregate from the rest of the party. Usually 4-5 groups atleast. Here's how I attack these circles. Very forward and very brash.

Walk in to one of the circles like your breaking up a fight.
Me-Woah Woah Woah. Who is the leader of this circle?

At this point you have everyone in the group's attention. Often times the Alpha Male will stand up and say I, other times someone will just ask what do you mean.

Against the alpha male, become his friend. If someone asks why, tell them why. Regardless of the outcome (Your being playful throughout keep in mind) your leading up to this one line as an explanation of your intrusion.

Me-I'm here because I feel like you guys/You and your friends deserve the opprotunity to meet me.

There was alot of text in what I just wrote, but it's not much really. Just Nut up, bust up a circle, establish your presence, (Ignore your targets ofcourse), and make new friends. By they time I've done this to every group everyone at the party knows who I am. I did this at the last two parties I was at (field parties) by the end of the night I had 30+ people surrounding me listening to whatever bullshit I was spewing. Not to mention free drinks all night and girls jumping at the opportunity to talk to me. Both nights ended in a Hotel F close and we are FBs now.

Regardless of if you get laid, you will make friends that opens other opportunities in life. Just be Bold, be confident, and smile. People will gravitate to you if you do.

I like it! I've always gone with the basic "how's every body doing tonight?" Your way sets a very dominate frame. I'm headed out now. I'm going to have to try that.

This is very good advice, doing this at a next event/party.
