So my workout now is twice a week and full body. Every time I workout I max my reps on every excercise and I'm steadily building more and more muscle. I don't use any weights. Also, I work 5 nights a week and it goes like this: 4 hours of straight slightly heavy lifting and fast paced movement, an hour break, and then at least another 3 hours of the fast movement and lifting. So my question is, being that my workout is more focused on building muscle and my work burns calories like an engine burns gas, is this a well rounded routine. I am always sweating at work and it is a full body exhertion. Also on some days when I'm not feeling sore, I'll press or squat or lift things at work while I am moving them to where they need to be located. I ask because I eat a lot of protein, fat and carbs just to maintain my level of energy. I'm not worried about losing body fat but I want to build more muscle with it without the definition, doesn't ' matter. I just want to know if what I do can help me maintain my active lifestyle and still help mme build some. Thanks in advance!

I don't understand what you are trying to say here. You said you don't use weights, then later you said you do squats and press.

You said you eat protien, fat, and carbs... that is about all there is. Without a ton of guess work nobody could give you much advice...

Your workout is again anyones guess. You said full body, what does that even mean. I know your mean arms, back, chest, legs, and abs. But again like the food your post is not giving any facts.

In short reading your post was "I eat everything, and do everything what now?"

Here is a list of facts people would need to know to give you even rough estimation.
Age,Height,Weight
Breakfest,Lunch,Dinner average calorie,and protien
Exercises, reps and sets.

When you give age weight and height someone could do the math to figure out your base calorie use.
Then with your food someone could find how many calories you take in
Then you will see if your calorie defecient or not.
Then excersie well thats a whole other ball game.

More weight and less reps = bulk
Less weight and more reps = definition

Building muscle, for bulk or definition, is better than carido to lose fat. Cardio gives you a very high heart rate for a short duration, but tearing and rebuilding muscle gives a much longer metabolism boost.

Thanks for the info guys. Yeah I can see what you mean by me being vague. My workout is all push/pull ups, no weight deep squats, and press like when I do handstand push ups. I should have mentioned its all body weight. At work I lift a lot of boxes and try to turn it into reps by lifting different ways but it is most definately not in any disciplined way. Just depends on the size and weight of the now that I grab at the moment. I must admit that after reading the replies, I believe that I need to figure out what my goals are with working out. Just like I did with my pua skill goals. Thanks guys! So where would you guys suggest I go to read more about the subject?
