so i started talking to this girl on okcupid, really hot, badass punk chick. she was pretty quick to give me her number, we started texting about how she doesn't have much luck with dating, all guys suck, everyone just wants to fuck her no one wants to get to know her etc. we decided to go out tomorrow night.

she's my age, just got out of a long relationship like 1.5 months ago. we're gonna walk around on main street and check out some shops, and go a park, then go barhopping once the sun goes down. one of her friends might also be tagging along...great.

she's def going on a few dates a week, so she's got a large pool to choose from. when we were shooting the shit via texting last night, she was like "you still have to take me out friday but (blah blah something related to what we were joking about blah blah)"

reading this, does she expect me to pay? i'm not paying for a first date with someone i barely know. when we get to the first bar, if i'm all like "i'll buy the first round!" do you think that'd handle it smoothly enough?


any other tips greatly appreciated! i dont' usually go on dates with girls i don't already know so i'm a little unsure of what i'm doing.

She is going to expect you to pay. If you dont, im sure shes going to put youon the friend zone. Put if shes bring a friend then thats not a date, so everyone covers there own tabs.

Don't pay for all her drinks, maybe pay for the first, see if you can even manage to get her to buy you a drink.
Show you're not just like any other guy at the bar that would just be slamming money at her. You're better than them, she needs to be working for your attention and to make a good impression on you aswell as you for her.

I realise that you've probably already had your date by now, but just wanted to throw in my two pence worth:

It sounds like you've arranged the date on her terms rather than yours. Personally, I hardly ever deviate from the standard date of going for drinks at a bar nearby my own house, so I can easily take a girl back and have sex with her. I would never go shopping, and definitely never let her bring along a friend - it's just putting unnecessary hurdles in your way.

As for buying drinks, I have to say I usually pay myself. There's a bit of a stigma in the pua community about buying girls for drinks, but as long as you do it casually, and it doesn't come off like you're trying to buy a girl's affection, I think it's fine. If you just don't want to pay for drinks though, just get the first round in, then casually say "I think it's your round" when it's time for the next one.
