is there a way to find girls in my area by using the search bar some way?

Yep. search for some random name (don't press ENTER) Go on the bottom of the floating panel and press "show more results from..." them on the left side of the page you'll see a "people" (or similar) separator, click it and then search for a location.

Have luck with the random name you searched for : )
