Hi, I still have to fill out a introduction, but I'm going to leave that for a later time...

What I want to change about my self is that I am very introverted, I wouldn't call it shy, because in my mind, shyness is something of a psychological disorder, the fear of any kind of social interaction: I'm not afraid to go out, and I just started a new job where one of my primary roles is be in close relation with the customers of the company.

I consider myself as a pretty extreme introvert, when I go out with friends or just hang out, I am the quiet guy that says almost nothing....

That is what I wanna change about myself in a first time, so that I actually can REALLY JOKE AROUND with friends.

I know, that skill will be helpful when I go out and actually will want to try and start picking up - right now, I feel like trying to pick up is a lost cause as I would be completely stuck after opening, if I'd ever get that far, not knowing how to keep the conversation going... but, I am not completely dead inside either, as it does happen that I crack jokes that leave me and my friends with laughter attacks..

Another thing I could tell is that I live in a very tourism driven, tropical vacation paradise, and there are a lot of young people here on vacation all year round, my job has to do with dealing with tourists...

Can you guys help me out with simple exercises, things to read to help me develop a basis of jokes and to simply learn to goof around?

Thanks a lot guys

Hey Mimic --

First off -- welcome to the forums, always happy to see a new face!

To your question, I've written a few articles on my blog about this which you might find helpful.

First, the idea of self concept -- who are we, how do we define ourselves? where does it come from?
http://taooftalk.com/home/2011/1/29/sel ... u-are.html

Secondly, if we don't like who we are, and we want to change, what are actionable things we can do to change when we are afraid to?

I've also got a number of other things I discuss -- where social proof comes from, how to reinforce your image to make what you want to show others, the reality that they see.
My favorite on the subject -- http://taooftalk.squarespace.com/home/2 ... epard.html

I've done a horrible job of organizing the information, but rest assured I'm in the process of redoing it so it is more intuitive for new visitors to get the information they need in the quickest amount of time. I'm actually in the process of writing "The Ultimate Guide to Self Concept", which I'm hoping will be an asset to anyone with these types of questions.

Let me know if I can do anything else to help you -- I'll be happy to.

I dont know your story but I know one thing. After 100 years later there will nothing for you and me. So why so serious ? do what you want to do say what you want to say.

after you not being serious you become relaxed
after relaxing yourself you can become confident
after confident you can become sexual
after sexual you can sex with girls
