Like what is your style? Do you bust out raving and fist pumping or do you just move side to side to the beat. I'm an ok dancer, I know a few moves but not good enough to be breakdancing and popping flares and windmills all over the dance floor. What are some of the moves you do, or are you just spontaneous and freestyle?

Off my toes. I have kind of a custom dance that has elements of the moon walk, I push my foot back while my weight is on my toes of my other foot. Kind of like walking in place. Some times I roll my leg while I am doing it so it looks weird but got serious smoothness to it. I also kick my heels out back and forth to the beat adding in some shoulder shuffling. I honestly modify my body rhythm by the music, I'll dance latin(hip movement), Skank(ska/reggae), irish jig(flogging molly style), custom dance(hip hop, pop, dub step, club, etc.), swing dancing, etc.

I seriously just move to the music and have a ton of fun. That is all that matters. People are attracted to fun people so if you aren't a good dancer don't worry to much(though it certainly helps). I highly recommend being the fun guy who takes over an area.

I haven't picked up a ton of girls in my day, but I have picked up a few by acting like a goof on the dance floor. In my very humble opinion, if you look like you're having fun and you're confident, girls will come to you. I have good rhythm but no dance moves to speak of, so I just do ridiculous shit and girls often think it's pretty funny.

One of two ways. If I'm just with mates and not actively looking to pick up a certain girl, then I'll just pretty much go with the flow, let the music take me, nothing too extravagant, just be in the moment and go with it really.

However, if there's a girl I fancy making a move on, I tend to make fun of her dance moves a little bit. Walk up to her "are those your best moves? Wow, and I thought I was a bad dancer!"

Then just try to copy her moves but over exaggerate it - so if she's not really doing any moves, then pretend to dance really boring and stiff to suggest she's not having any fun with her dancing. If she's doing something with her hands, then do the same movement but make it more extreme and "flappy" etc.

She'll probably ask you to show her a better move or something, and again I then just do something that is the same as her dance move but more extreme, or just do some goofy dancemove for her to laugh at. Then after that/at that point, try out a move that needs two people (and if you've made the vibe light hearted with slightly goofy dance moves, then you can try something really cheesey here), and use her as your partner. Then escalate away from there!

One thing I forgot to mention. Don't dance by yourself and actually TRY to dance if you know what I mean. I see guys trying to dance all serious looking around the dance floor for potential chicks to pick up and they look like huge tools.

I dance(tenth in the world two years ago)...i would say to you dont be afraid of your body..lots of people who try dance are afraid of moving

My style is breakdance, if u wanna get better i say just try learn before dancing in public, this will help your confidence when dancing. Go on youtube.

Use facial expressions when dancing. No one does this so they look serious. Facials will also show that you are having fun

Dont be afraid to learn, dance is simply a way of expressing who you are

Good luck man :D

When it comes to grind dancing (grinding). Basicly all you do is move to the rythm of her body while she grinds her butt on your junior. Meanwhile you can grab her waist, hands in the air, etc. Ive noticed when a girl really wants to dance with you, she just wants to find out how well you dance. Some chicks think if a guy cant dance, he cant fuck. Lol, so bust a move so later you can bust a --

This is how it's done.

The point with dancing what you mean( i think) is that you want to be able to dance WITH a girl am i right?

if so you don't need alot of moves....you need groove.
Groove can be explained as feeling the beat and moving with the flow.
with that you need some simple moves
It's not something super impressive , but it's something people can mimick.
with that, not only can you have some fun with your girl, but if you're lucky, everybody around wil mimick you, making you the alpha in the club.

My groove has alot to do with the Locking style - hiphop. It's a style with a groove where you're constantly bouncing. and it's funky. Almost every girl likes something funky/energic. it's where the fun is!
in dancing, you're best mate is Youtube tutorials. look at what they're doing and mimick and Practise(most important). If you're insecure about how it looks, go to someone who can help you or videotape yourself and watch.

I hope this helps:)

Do whatever you like, make sure you're having fun with your friends and you really don't need any moves and rhythm.

well ive learned to dance hiphop, but meh...its too facny. went on youtube 2 weeks ago and learned myself to shuffle. im ok now and it definitivelly helps on picking girls up. if they put on lmfao, and YOU know how to shuffle even a little. you would be supprised to see girls reactions and their comments. rihgt now i can do: the melbourne shuffle, t-step, a few spins and kicks. and the spongebob. XD

oh and if you just stand there on the floor moving from side to side. you look like an idiot.
but its even worse if you miss the beats! never do that. the part of your brain that stands for music and dancing is the same for love and sex! it just shows girls you are uninteresting!

I'm south American from Chile to be specific
Therefore I'm Latino
Now I never liked dancing it was never my
Thing I am a metal head
I usually
Can't stand generic Latin pop music
Like some of the stuff you guys hear a lot
But about 2 years ago I saw an
Argentinian dressed in track pants and sport shirt(why was he wearing that to Latin bar where everybody dresses formal or with the Armani exchange?...if you know anything about soccer in south America you would know why)
(because hes a soccer coach in
Other words he's an assistant coach of a Chilean club soccer team )
Come in to
A Latin bar went over to the hottest chic
In the bar(she was a 10) and pretty much
Had her way with her...at that point
I had some dance moves never really
Made an effort to really learn how to dance
Until a couple of months later
My cousin who was visiting from
Chile taught me to dance...I said
To her "I don't want to dance salsa...I want to dance
Like a Chilean you know what I
Mean ?"
She taught me pretty basic
Stuff but it gave me confidence...
Then a year later I reconnected with
A friend from school...back then I was
Pretty basic I knew how to handle a chic
But not really I could still pass as a good dancer
But wasnt that good...she took me to
A Latin night where good dancers would
Go even the Chics were good
And they weren't Latin it was pretty intimidating ...anyway
I started going there every week and other bars that had Latin nights
And my dancing exploded
All I would do is watch the experts and
And I would eventually pick it up
It was a little tough...and also went to
Some lessons but I think lessons
Turn you into a robot
You do what your taught the idea

Is to
Input your personality into the dance
I put a lot of hip hop copoeira samba
Salsa reggaeton into what I do...
I see the white boys dance good but I think
Their dancing is too static ...but the girls still love it
Girls love dancing a lot if your good enough they will want to grind with you
The key is to prove that you can dance first
I would suggest learn salsa or ballroom learn how to handle
A woman first then go for the individual freestyle dancing
I like copoeira samba a lot it's sexy as hell so is reggaeton...
The other day I went to a party and I was the
Only one who
Knew how to dance amongst the majority of guys
Every girl was talking about me during the party after they saw me dance.
Girls were coming up to
Me and introducing themselves
Did I get any numbers that night?
No because I made the mistake of taking a bong hit which made
Me really passive and was unable to talk because i was zoning out a lot ...but It didn't affect my dancing which was weird
Being a good dancer really does make you a
More interesting and attractive person
