Lately I have been looking into picking up an instrument to learn. In your experiences, what have you found to be the most attractive instruments for girls. Obviously guitar is going to be the top of this list. Any others?

Guitar, obviously - preferrably acoustic. But also the piano - it takes quite a bit of talent.

Yea the top one would be acoustic guitar, I play the Bass myself and I think it really doesn't matter what instrument you play, it's just whether you play one or not

The thing is with guitar, if you end up being in a band, it also has the "cool" factor from that. But if you're not in a band, the only thing that really separates it from other things is its portability - you aren't going to be playing a piano around a campfire on a beach!

You've got to be passionate about it if you're going to get good and/or want it to attract women. "Oh yeah, I had three lessons, learnt smoke on the water, and then jacked it in as couldn't be bothered to learn anything technical" isn't going to do you much good.

But pretty much any instrument shows skill, determination, self discipline (to learn it), dedication and passion. All fairly useful attributes to show off!
