Is it better to open direct or indirect? I mean direct u get to the point with indirect it might take awhile to get to the point.

Instead of asking, why don't you go out and experience both style for yourself. After all, you will get better at pick with trial and error.

I think it might be best for you to start off with an indirect approach if you are new to opening, this way you can practice running some routines and getting use to approaching women. If you feel like you have a high confidence level then by all means go up to that girl and be as direct and straight forward as you can. Its a high risk reward opportunity for ya. but as "Ouch" stated just go out and see what you feel will work better for ya. You never know till you try.

depends on your personality, you have to go out and figure out what sort of person you are, either way you have to learn to express your intent, either directly or indirectly, she should know what you are about, don't hide your intent, she should know you are flirting with her even if it hasn't explicitly been verbalized,

if you are into value game, and you like to build value etc. before showing intent, cool beans, you still have to show intent at some point

Off the top, I'd say direct day game, indirect at clubs etc.
