If I accept myself for who I am right now, Then how will I have the same motivation to change and start living my life to the fullest? I haven't even had a genuine conversation with a girl in over 6 months, why would I want to live like that. If I tell myself I'm awesome the way I am and I don't even need to change, Then how am I going to live the life I want to live?

It means you come to true realization of who you are and to be happy with that person. It is not saying to halt progress on any improvements you want to make.
I understand what you are saying and it technically makes sense. The term though, is saying basically not to be a depressed piece of shit because you are have no current success. Thinking poorly about yourself and beating yourself up for your short comings will not do anything to speed up your progress in life.
