Rather than write my own profile, I look at profiles of girls I'm attracted to scan over their about me section. When I find one I can actually read all the way threw I copy, paste and edit it on my profile.

Message a few girls with the " I'd remove that pic in your profile" get's replies but is 50/50. I get "why" and some "Fuck you" after the "lol...I hope you can take a joke...." message replies drop to like 15% and even the next message "Thanks for...win a bet..."
doesn't help much.

When I put a picture of an average good looking White guy both on to POF and Okcupid, the response rate is like 90%. It doesn't even matter what you say in the messages girls are hooked.

To be successful on POF and Okcupid, with little effort it all comes down to being good looking. The same way guys are only interested in looks at least 90% of the girls are the same online.

90% rate with an average white male picture? I call bull. There is no way unless the white male is model like or close to it. As I am white and average looking and I don't nearly have that reply rate, at best it is 70%.

For anyone that has tried the classic 'average guy great profile/hot guy awful profile' social experiment its hilarious. I recommend every guy do it just for perspective. I've done it twice during a pickup rut or sex droughts just to improve my game in field and remind me how they are just human beings and not goddesses.

Its hysterical how they will use completely illogical statements to make themselves believe they should talk to you. Specifically targeting HOT girls that say "I don't hookup" or whatever is the best. Within 1 message they are always laughing and within 3 they are saying something like "I really think you are a dick but I'm so attracted to you." Sometimes without even leading them towards sexual talk they will mention something that is so obviously meant to get 'me' to go there.

Sometimes I've actually said something to try to scare them off like "I want you to scream from the orgasm I give you tonight!" They still will say something like "look i'm not just on here to hook up we should just hang out and see where it goes" lol. Everybody knows an 8 or lower guy would just not get a message back period.

I deliberately put not-so-good photos as my default and nothing special on my profile.

This way if you're still successful you KNOW you have game.

I'm not a really great looking guy and I do really well online. I have 2 dates this week with girls a lot better looking than me. I do however have good pictures. Good lighting, clear, high resolution, good angles, stylish clothes, head shots, body shots, etc. Take one of you with friends, a pet or doing something funny. I agree that good looking pictures matter but you could look like Matt Daemon and get shitty results if you used your camera phone, in the mirror while wearing sweats.

A few months ago I watched a few 10 min videos online about photography, took some better pictures and my results improved a lot. Don't get suckered into getting hung up on physical looks.

Race is also a big factor if your white or latin(light skin) your chances of success are good even if your average looking not ugly.

Dude obese girls on that site get 7+ ratings with 100+ votes (I am talking about the truly obese types). The site is the least accurate site to use really. I am willing to be POF picture rating system is better than Hot or Not as it has less of an incentive to rate people hot.
Not saying that race doesn't factor in as it can certainly can, but I think you are putting to much stock/value into race. I am not saying it doesn't hold any value as it does, but more that its not that great. For some girls it does matter a lot. I seen girls, primary white ones say specifically that they want a black dude or a latin guy and NOT a white guy. But in my experience I find that height matters MORE than your race does. As I have gotten most of my dates and replies due to my height alone more than me being white. It also helps that I write decent messages that invoke a girl to reply as that is the other thing, online dating is really no more than online marketing/advertising.

What you say may be true but the results of my experiment prove otherwise and it doesn't matter what kind of message I send. My profiles are in NY and you would think Race doesn't matter but it does.
I'm not saying you can't be successful if your not a good looking white guy but it's going to take a lot of work to get the same response rate.

And I call your experiement BS as for one its not possible to get a 90% reply rate online. That's getting back 9 replies out of 10, bit hard to have happen. But in your op you never mention what other races you used and the results of those nor what height you put the guy at. In short your so called experiment doesn't show race is important. For all we know you got a good reply rate because you mirrored the girl's profile. Not because you use some white guys picture.

If you really want to prove that being white and at least decent looking actually makes online gaming easier, then make a stock profile do not change it to fit some girl's profile and use a picture of a white guy, black guy and a latin guy and try the experiement in at least 3 states/cities, say NYC, Los Angeles and Dallas. Then come back and post your results with sample messages you sent with the reply rate and if you want to make this more scientific Send out say 30 messages for each picture. As 30 should be more than enough to get a decent feel for a reply rate.

I stand by my results and opinion granted it's not as scientific as Professor jurupa would like it but if there is anyone on here with the time to run Professor jurupa direction:

By trade I'm a model. And I like to think I have pretty decent game too, and I still struggle getting replies. I'm not sure if it's different in the US to the UK but I've found it very hard to find a HB7 or above on POF.
