| Curiosity, Jax pago, Sou1throb and myself were out sarging the clearly unsuspecting streets of the town in which we preside, keeping the momentum of Project essex going last night. This is a short report of my F close from last night.
We started off in a local chain bar. They do cheap G&Ts so it's a good place to start. We had our meeting in this same place on Monday in the week, but it was a lot quieter then. I was the first one to open a set. A 3 set of cuties who I'm fairly sure were university students. I opened with 'So we're all from *****ford then?' which is funny because I'm clearly from Ireland if you can pick out an Irish accent at all. They laughted, we talked about drinks, guessed each others names. Raport was assumed and we were all having fun. I didn't F close any in this group but I'd have liked to as my target there is an 8. I obeyed the time constraint and went back to join the guys. I was kind of kicking myself for not trying for a number or just staying as we were all getting on. Then Jax and Sou1 gave me a little gem of advice... get it on the way out (mind blown, it worked).
Curiosity opened a set. A 10 in my books but he says she wasn't, he got a closer look. I decided to get a can of redbull while he opened. He was a bit nervous and from what I heard gave up too early, Jax says he was doing well. Practice makes better. At this point I was starting to get a bit excited and the nerves were dying. It felt like there was a bit of a community growing. The common goal was obviously clear, but the motivation was now obvious too. Curiosity said to me in a txt that some of the approaches were excruciating. I'm sure they're getting a little less excruciating now.
So the F close girl. This is all just prelude. I didn't do a lot in the F close girl's case, it was all body language. Which is why the prelude's important. By the time I met her I was in a pretty good mindset.
I've put my body language in brackets between each bit of interaction:-
Walking down the stairs from the toilets she was walking behind me, she says hey/I say hey (I look over my shoulder smile, then look straight ahead again and keep walking) /she says what's your name/(At this point I turn around, keeping the toothy smile) Mr Freeze, what's yours? /F close girl/ (we're now close to the bar, I stand with shoulders a bit low and back relaxed looking, thumbs in back pockets) / we talk about physics/ I tell her my gin and tonic glows in the dark routine (a good few hand gestures, prolonged eye contact when I'm saying how the molecules are attracted to one another) /she talks about music and drugs/I say I used to take a lot but they're stupid (I stand further away at this point) /I say she looks antsy, she looks like she's looking over to her friends. (looking at her features, clothes basically trying to figure her out but I'd say it looks like I'm reading her body language.
15 minutes longer I'm sitting with the guys talking about something and she comes over and asks for my number. I look up, remain calm and say 'sure'. Give her the digits, joke a bit.
