Eh, I'm 22. The status is relevant because everyone can relate to it.

And yeah, if you google it you get a million results for it, but still, it's clever.

When I read facebook posts I like ones that can make me smile or laugh and usually the person that posts them is a cool person.

better than all the melodramatic woe is me posts everyone seems to usually write.

I did the opposite today. I wrote penisenlargement instead

The update itself didnt get much likes, but the 'oops, meant to google it' became an instant hit Lots of likes and two hb wrote "What? You dont need that " And some other women liked her comment aswell.
And some good friends said "about time you become normal downstairs "
I pressed like on those comments, I dont take myself to seriously on fb(or irl), its just for having a good laugh

If you are an icnredibly popular guy with many friends on facebook, a weekly status can be a great DHV. can even be every four or three days.
If you normally get a bunch of likes, woman see it and understand you're popular. A great sign of social proof
Avoid a lot of conversational comments on your statuses. If people like them they will constantly be notified of comments. If you get known as that guy who has to many conversational statuses, people will get annoyed about it and stop liking the statuses

You don't get notifications about comments on a status if you like it, only if you comment on it.

I won't argue with you, but whenever I like a status, I get notified of comments, and often people will converse and use inside jokes, which deters me and others from liking their status ever again

There must be a setting somewhere on there then.. but I think comments are more DHV than likes anyway. I like people's status' frequently, but I generally only comment on people's status' that I am friends with or an HB.

Been seeing a lot of people giving up FB for lent...

Yea this works good on twitter as well...maybe even better now that a lot of people are switching to twitter. I just used the "used to think blondes did it better" and i had cute girl respond with "still do" within seconds of posting it. This is a good thread hopefully people keep creating more cocky/funny comments like this one.

Ok so i was really interested in this displaying value on facebook, and these cocky statuses get your profile noticed but what really got things going was when i changed my profile picture to something flattering but also If youve heard the mystery and style annhilation method talk on youtube he talks about The leader of men preselected by women and protector of your loved ones if you can come up with a short cocky slightly funny about your own story women our now generally messaging me left right and center.......
