So that was obviously a generic message, which in my opinion does not make you appear interesting beyond your looks. So before I prove how cool and interesting I am beyond my incredible sense of style, why don't you prove yourself to be more than just a copier and paster.

Sorry dude, I've been writing stuff here trying to help you, but didn't get anywhere. You can't turn this thing completely around by some magical message.

The best I could come up with is:
"Ouch, busted! Yeah, I am new to online dating and using canned stuff to overcome my shyness. However, I really find you interesting/cute. Let's start over, hi, I'm XY."

Something along these lines, expand/change it as you see fit. Then end your message with some real, honest stuff to restart the conversation, maybe comment on her wits or her feisty nature, (for her clever reply) or whatever.
Just don't apologize or let her tell you you are a loser for it, keep up your frame, which is (after this message) the good-looking guy who has to overcome some shyness, but is actually really nice and cool.

That's how I'd do it, at least.

you can play it one of two way, she responded in a positive way, she did cuse you out and tell you to fuck off, so you're still in it

first try and play it off write this how ever you want but act offended, then a joke, then a question or a statement that will make her reply ... "I'm shocked and appalled that you would accuse me of such things, I am a gentlemen and i will not stand for these allegations... fine i will address you like all the other guys on here.... hi, how are you, you're so cute..... is that to your liking madam? I was right you are straight trouble, and i like it, you better not disappoint me brat "


option 2 is to come clean something like "You're a smart girl, it is good to see you have something going on for you besides your looks ... between work, school, and my hobbies, i don't have hours to spend on these site so i have a question that i send out to a select few girls that i find interesting, if they reply then they have my full attention like you have now, if not no time wasted and no hurt feelings... So don't think this got you out of answering my question i'm waiting?"

As I said before feel free to try the RE/REPLY hook if it goes cold. Most responses I get from girls are like 'Aren't you a funny one, and yes you are hot (MY USER NAME).'

I was aiming for 3 things with this one: 1 its short enough she'll read it & it doesn't come off as 'needy', 2 its personal enough she'll know its not TOTALLY canned, 3 there's a little bit of humor & mystery like "who is this guy" and "what's going on here"... anyway I've had some success with it.
