Ive run into yet another problem. I have exams and a lot of college work going on so I havent been able to get out much. When I do see someone I want to chat up however, it's at places like the bus stop, gym, waiting in line at a cafe etc.. I realised that I had no clue how to open these people. The best things I could come up with was " do you know when the bus gets here?" and " How long have you been waiting in line? I gota know because I'm in a rush" etc... These as you can see arent great. I couldn't even think of anything to say to the utter babe that was on the treadmill . So if anyone can give some examples of how you could work these scenario types, I'd be greatful.

Hey Black Jack.....

I will give you an example of some openers i use in those situations and you can decide whether they will be useful to you.

Sometimes i will walk up to a girl and say "Jenny, isn't it?". She naturally responds "No!". I will follow up with "are you in X college?" or "was i talking to you in the college library the other day?" or even "did i meet you in X club"

"Oh you are the image of her!" ..... then transition to whatever you want. "Are you waiting for the bus long?" "what is it you are training for?" "what brings you to town today?" etc

During the day i will also go direct. "You are fucking gorgeous, i just had to come and say Hi!" If it is a place where it is likely i will see her again i usually avoid being so direct and play it much slower.

The more i am sarging, i am starting to believe you can get away with saying anything if your state is right. But i remember the days of struggling to find something to say so i hope this helps you a little bit.

just a quick question on escalating.. if i was in the gym say, and i used that on a girl walking past, got to the point where i introduced myself, got her name, had our little laugh, did the whole "what are you training for?".. i would let her get back to her workout. So then then before i leave would i just be like " hey this is random but would you like to meet up blah blah?"??? :/

Every interaction is different........

I never have a script as to what i will say next so it depends on a lot of factors as to how i will escalate.

I will have a genuine reason so it could be "I like your energy" or "You are really cute" .... or "I am training for a marathon too, let's go training together sometime" you get the point??

or i could look for an instant date...... "You seem really cool/interesting lets grab a quick coffee, drink ... i have about 20 mins to spare before i go to X"

man, your a genius ha. I didn't get a chance to try it in the gym because all the good ones where on the treadmills with ipods :/.. but I did get a chance to use it on the way home.. Just thought id let you know. I was walking from the bus stop home, and a girl was walking fast in front ( hate when they walk like theyre on feckin juice). So i got in front, and just as i was taking my turn i took the chance.

ME: Hey, do you have the time? my phone is dead.
Grl: eh , ye (smiling)
Me: Wait, Jenny? ( same name )
Grl :no.. haha
ME: Oh wow sorry, your just uncanny!.. Are you sure you havent got a twin sister? (Smile)
Grl: No , haha ( smiling.. not awkward)
Me: Well that's embarrising ( in a not awkward, funny tone)

At this stage we where going seperate ways so i think to start lto introduce myself would have been a bit weird? Especially at night .

I don't go to the gym ..... and i have never opened a girl on an ipod

but if i was in the gym and i saw a girl i liked on her i pod it wouldn't stop me from opening her.....

something like "Hey, What songs are you listening to? I'm looking for ideas for my own ipod!"

I opened a girl on her mobile phone during the day and got a nasty reaction so i avoid girls on mobiles but ipod I'd say is okay..... I've never done it before so you can be the guinea pig!!!

black jak I know exactly what youre talking about...Im in college too and regularly take the bus or go gym and so often ya see a hot girl, sometimes I open sometimes I dont, more often not if im to be honest but hey its all about improving on what you have at the present
