So I'm not 100% sure about the effectiveness of this because I've only tried it once so far but it's definitely 1/1. This was actually discovered by accident, I was at a party and I knew a few of the girls there, so I'm mingling and whatnot, then I see an 8 sitting on the couch by herself. So i walked over and introduced myself to the group of guys next to the couch and fluffed with them, then I nonchalantly sat down on the couch (not too close to her). A few seconds after I sat down, one of the girls I knew named Alex walked by so this is how it went:

Ghazal: "Hey Alex!"
(Alex didn't hear me so there was no response)
Ghazal: (turn to look at HB8)
"Wow! Did you see that? Walked right by, she's obviously too cool for us."
HB8: "Haha, what's your name?" (IOI)
Ghazal: "Ghazal, and you are?"
HB8: "Ali, nice to meet you."

We fluffed and just talked about school and whatever for about 20 minutes, it was actually a very good conversation, I was making her laugh and she was definitely enjoying herself. Unfortunately, the alcohol was making it's way to my bladder so I had to excuse myself. On the way back to the couch, I was bombarded with shots and consequently ended up much more intoxicated than I was planning on. Long story short: I got her number and left with my friends. So I guess a semi-successful pickup?

I assume you can do this with any random person. If you're at a bar or club and there's a bunch of people walking around, just casually stroll over next to a girl without making eye contact, pretend you don't even know she's there. Then as the next person walks by (guy or girl), yell a random name to them. Odds are they won't respond because that's not their name. Then look over at the girl and make some witty comment about it. If anyone tries this in the field, let me know. I'll definitely be trying this out more often to see if it's actually effective or if I was just lucky.
