Hey guys, I've been doing a few approaches in bars lately to girls that are younger than me. The problem I have is when they ask me my age (Early 30's), should I tell them straight or avoid the question. I have told some girls my age and this has made the girl lose interest. Other times I have said 'guess' and then told them they are wrong and changed the topic. Also I've told them to buy me a drink then I will tell them, but they keep chasing me for an answer then get frustrated when I don't tell them. Any ideas on the best way to handle this? Cheers.

Id suggest something cocky in the form of a neg for example "Age is just a number" then give them a look that kinda makes them fill as if there not on your level for judging a number.

I haven't tried this, but I read about doing this here somewhere on the forums:

When she asks your age, you tell her "guess". She'll spit out a number.

You say "older", she'll go higher. You say "older", she'll go higher. You keep saying "older" until it gets ridiculous and she starts to laugh. I guess the key to this is that you keep a playful tone and turn it into a joke, then hopefully change the subject. Or if she persists, say something like "older than you, but younger than your dad, how's that?"

One thing that I do is just don't bring up the topic at all. I don't ask them their age, and I find that most of the time they don't ask mine either, at least not right away.

My most most common answer is "almost as old as your dad, you tiny girl! " but ofc in swedish "tiny girl" sounds more like a tease than in english.. but yeah.. something like that. If done correctly, this makes the girl feel that she has to qualify herself to you cause she feels like you think she's to young for you!
