Sitting on the metro dressed to kill ( on the way to a party )
HB8 sits down next to me dressed well, probably on her way out for the evening.

Red: ( While smiling ) Those are some seriously pointy shoes.
Her: They are all the rage these days ( slight grin )
Red: Wow. I mean, those things could be dangerous, a weapon even
Her: she seemed engaged in the convo but kind of struggled to find an answer
Red: Have you ever wanted to use them as a weapon??? ( maybe creepy but I said it playfully, not monotone or anything )
Her: No....(little smile)
Red: I would, this city might do that to you
Her: Must me a male agression thing...
Red: ( dead in the water )

went a cold, didnt know how to really respond...game over we both part at the next stop

I could use some responses about the quality of this as an opener, comments on my dialogue, and comments on how I could have replied.

I have gotten boged down like this many times. Maybe try a comment on her shoes that makes her have to explain it to you". Im finding u need to lead the convo to make you in control.

Somthing like: "wow, your shoes, they say a lot about you". She will have to respond, and proboly concerned since girls get very self-consious about their outfits.

HB: What do you mean?
PUA: Well, its really the shape.
HB: you dont like the shape?
PUA: Reminds me of somthing (chukle)
HB: What do they remind u of?!
...etc....etc....

Now you have her having to defend her look to you. She must talk to u as long as u keep the tables turned like that. There is a name for this technique but i cant remember what its called.

I don't think there was much coming back from the 'I would use them as a weapon' thing, although you probably knew that as the words were coming out. You may have had some aggressive thoughts in your head that day and they subconsciously came out here making you look like an alpha male. Happens to me sometimes, like if I get into a road rage incident I'll find myself having aggressive thoughts later. Now I choose not to get angry about stuff, and I practice the smiling thing, I walk around wearing a grin these days instead of the scowl that I used to wear. It has transformed my mood.

On second thoughts, you might have been able to salvage something along the lines of "I know, those aggressive fellas are terrible, aren't they?"

Next time I see a girl wearing shoes like that I'll use an old line I once heard my dad say. "They'd be good for walking through the wind!"
