I'm a really picky guy, especially when it comes to POF. My ideal woman is someone who has a lot of culture, and preferably has lived in a few different countries like I have. She is fashionable, classy, elegant but not a stuck up high maintenance materialistic b*tch.

I believe in genuinely complimenting their style rather than their looks. So I've come up with a simple opener that I use when I do direct approaches.

How could I improve this opener, and how could I mix this with a little bit of Cocky and Funny? Personally I think I should add a bit more comedy. I think I could shorten it a bit more too.

The success rate is like 70%:

Its not a bad opener....I've done some that are similar....where you somewhat compliment their appearance but state beauty is common, or looks only go so far, etc....then ask for them to explain themselves in a different light so you can see how they are separate from other females out there..........Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt....just depends on the female really....I've noticed that at least in my area, the HB9's and HB10's aren't very responsive to openers such as these though...Thats just me though...I'm not the most physically attractive guy..also I don't have a picture on most of my profiles to begin with...but like I said, there is still success with these types of openers..just depends on the girl

I know what you mean dude. Honestly, I gotta keep it shorter I think. Direct works better in my opinion...but as you said, it depends on this girl. Used this a month ago on a pretty hot girl - it worked and we dated for a whole month. now I'm back to the game. I guess this opener is gonna attract specifically the girls that have the personalities I'm looking fore. and it's rare to find one like this on POF

Trialled this a bit today combining it with Taohcke's (sp?) approach. Only sent out two messages but I am the proud owner of two numbers.

I use this all the time at daygame...and it's gold...but haven't had a lot of success with it on POF lately.

It needs something concrete that shows that you've actually read her profile, and it also needs a question, a genuine question (can be funny/cocky) that is specific to her profile.

That would take your response rate close to 100%.
