I'm a day game person and when I do my warmup approaches which is asking for directions It feel like I'm being an ass when I just say "Hey, do you know how to get to blank by any chance". Most of the time I startle them and it just doesn't feel right. When I say " Hey excuse me, do you know how to get to blah blah by any chance" and that usually get's way better responses. I would understand to not use it during night game but why not during day game?

It'll come off as needy because you're begging them to talk to you. It'll work because you're being polite- do they'll stop, but you lost all your control and have to build it back up somehow. First impressions are everything and if you say excuse me, it'll be hard to transition and escalate.

Saying "excuse me" is fine for day game. People usually do not expect to be approached so saying "excuse me" is a good way to avoid startling them. It will not make you come off as needy.

Sorry guys I disagree you can say excuse me it does not matter what you say as long as your confident in what your saying and have good energy and your body language is good. I picked up many times saying excuse me in day game. . I actually think its the best way to get the targets attention it allows you to go in many directions...

Yep it depends, when you feel comfortable with yourself and the question is straight you can use excuse me. BUT if it sounds insecure you might get rejected in this early time of the game fairly easy.

However when you play someone inside the tram with their earphones on, excuse me is good to lower the possible "danger" at the beginning.

i personally dont have a problem saying excuse me in day game but you could always go with another less needy phrase with the same effect. how about "hold up."... although that could come off as kind of rude if not delivered properly.

In night game i wouldn't use it.

However, in day game i wouldn't use it only if i have eye contact before speaking. If there not looking at me and im opening id use excuse me. As long you confident in using it and smiling i dont see it as losing control or coming off as needy, just polite.

You can replace excuse me with I know this is really random

I tend to always use excuse me, donno wtf you are talking about, it stops girls pretty much 100% of the time, most effective thing ever, works better then HEY YOU, HEY GIRL, HI, YO what ever, excuse me works fucking amazing, combine it with eye contact and you almost will never get ignored, they look and stop and you can soi them
