@ Notoriety,
My personal belief is meat = useless...but that's after 4 years of research
but to answer your question
This diet will not affect your muscle building at all, in fact it should help it. You won't be eating any carbs from wheat (bread, pasta, etc) so all you should be eating is meat and vegetables which is super healthy really.
I don't know too much about body building but I seen a video where theres some days when body builders just ate fish for the day...i guess that good too
But i don't see how it would ruin your time? It's just switching food right? or do u mean time to increase muscles? cux if so, from what I read, you should see your muscles faster since this diet helps burn fat while gaining muscles

@KOMM4NDO,
your welcome buddy, at least if my post helped you im glad
just remember to do the favor to someone you might know that's really nerdy or something, you know?
AND BE WARE OF BEING TOO SOCIAL!!! it happened to me once i was cured, I was too hyper and I was like a super DANCING MONKEY! HAHAHA those day...at least I learned what a dancing monkey is 8)

Raw is great! I eat 70-100% raw on and off and I'm actually preparing myself for a fast/cleanse program. I wanted to ask you, how do you eat regularly (after the 10 days)? What do you think of cold-processed (raw) organic whey powder as a supplement (after the 10-day period), I read over and over again it has amazing immunoenhancing properties and is great for celiacs and other people with digestive tract problems? Do you take any enzymes when you eat cooked food? Do you eat any starches - roots, beets, white rice? How often do you evacuate? Do you take any supplements, vitamins, minerals? Thanks for your answer!

@ Txacoli,
whey, wheather raw or not, it's still milk...NO WHEY...try rice or hemp powder instead

I don't take any enzymes, but I'm planning on trying amylaze to see if it does anything

I personally eat 100% raw vegetables with little fruits...my main source of energy comes from starch of vegetables (potatoes/carrots)

I don't take ANY suppplements now...I think they are just a waste of time if you consume 100% raw...

did i answer all your questions? I got the feeling i missed one

Lol, you didn't say how often you pooped ;)
You eat potatoes raw?
I was very against whey myself until I saw something that convinced me otherwise as I'm battling with an autoimmune disease. As I understand, the casein is the big problem maker, that's why I asked for your opinion.
Here's a link that convinced me to try it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlG3HOM9F9Q
So I decided to give it a go and see for my self. I'm still in search for cold processed undenatured whey, actually found one in UK, but haven't ordered yet.
I used to be mostly frutarian, but I'm beginning to see that fruit is not the answer, except certain fruit in certain quantities. I agree you don't need supplements if you're not undernourished and eat 100% organic raw. I suspect I have some serious deficiencies, so I'll try to address those first.
How long have you been 100% raw? What's your fat % intake in calories? Sources of fat?
Can you maybe post your typical daily menu?
Sorry to be a nutrition Gestapo, I'm just very interested in this topic because I think food is our poison and our medicine and even going raw can be really hit and miss if you get your macros wrong (like my very low fat frutarianism).
Thanks and cheers!

@ txacoli,
before diet, usually 1 a day but the shit was little small marbles
now on a wheat and dairy free diet, i shit 1 - 3 times a day but with a good solid shit! looks like a thick sausage no homo

Yes, i eat potatoes raw...I add a bit of ground organic red pepper, cinnamon, and cloves for taste

Btw, if you do this diet for 10 days and find out that it does help you A LOT...that means that you can't go back to eating shit food...if you do you will feel like shit again. Besides, after 1 month, you will find junk food disgusting

DO NOT BUY WHEY...WHEY = MILK
  • buy RICE power or HEMP, they sell it at GNC and it's the same shit...just different protein
FRUIT IS NOT THE ANSWER...there is this 80 10 10 (in which 80% of the diet is fruit, 10% fat?, 10% protein? I forgot the 10%'s) diet going around the raw vegan community but it makes everyone who do it anorexic.
  • The only way for a raw vegan diet to work is to based your diet on starchy vegetables carbs (potatoes, carrots) not fructose sugar carbs (any kind of fruit)
btw if you do not want to become a raw vegan, as most people reading this do not want to, feel free to eat meat but make sure you eat NO wheat or milk and STILL try to eat a good amount starchy vegetables too. CARBS do NOT make your fat if they come from potatoes, carrots, or beats...but carbs from BREAD, PASTA< and any WHEAT will make you FAT
Most deficiencies are more of a "social fear" that never happens. For example: protein. There's never been a protein deficiency, everyfood has protein even fruits and vegetables. There has been malnourishment, but malnourishment means that ALL levels of nutrients are low since one doesn't consume almost no food...You can't just have LOW PROTEIN, it is impossible. What deficiencies are you worry about? Don't tell me b12 please haha!!!

MY DIET
  • I been raw for about 6 -7 months?
I follow the diet of the okinawan people which is:
    BASED ON POTATOES
    VEGETABLES
    WATER
    1200 calories or less

    My daily menu would include
    2 -3 potatoes
    2 -3 carrots
random handfuls of vegetables: cabbage, celery, etc
Maybe a fruit a day...MAYBE, and I don't eat red shiny apples (apples are not meant to be naturally shiny) or bananas (they have been breed so much they are sterile...real bananas have big ass seeds inside of them...not little black dots)
I try not to "mix" food too much, so if I have potatoes for breakfast I will only eat potatoes for breakfast

I do not count calories but I'm sure it's less than 1200 and I am NOT anorexic in anyway....I am "skinny" but healthy skinny with lean muscles cux I do work out but with no weights (I breakdance so it really helps the upper muscles get defined)

No fat sources...I might eat raw moist peanuts once a month...and I probably eat like 3 of them
I wouldn't advice jumping straight to raw vegan, most people can't. I couldnt. I gradually went by first turning vegetarian for like 3 days, then vegan for a good two weeks (mixing a few raw days) and then turning 100% raw

I was cooked vegan for about a year, before that I was a vegetarian.
Then did the high fat raw vegan, lot's of seeds, nuts and stuff, it did help my condition, but didn't cure it (fats+fructose is generally a no no for me, although sugar was more stable), then went on raw vegan 80-10-10 thing for about two months, helped my condition a lot but felt crappy, sugar spikes were insane. The elimination was good though, 3 sausages a day. I also did mono-meals. Then was raw, but included meat - game, goat's milk, organic eggs, all raw. Felt immensely better, was hard to stick to with raw meat and just the whole diet in general, so I fell of the wagon and went back to cooked but did a lot of IF (intermittent fasting) and kept the calories low.
So I did my fair bit of experimentation and research as well.
A lot of the guys on the raw paleo forum came from low fat raw vegan and their health just skyrocketed.

The only reason I'm looking into whey is it's immunoenhancing properties, google it. I know hemp is a good source of protein, it's not a protein deficiency I'm worried about.
Not even B12, although research shows 10+ years of veganism does have a negative effect. I'll try to find a link, it's not some meat industry supported research either.
I'm worried about Vitamin D deficiency, I think I'm already pretty deficient. But other deficiencies too, essential fatty acids etc.

After being vegetarian and vegan for 2+ years, I did introduce meat back to my diet. But cooked meat is crap, it's altered and denatured by heat.

So I'm looking to find my perfect diet now. Vegetable juicing is a must, as I see it. I'll aim for 70-80 percent raw, because the benefits are irrefutable. Very little fruit though, mostly berries and stuff.
I will try the whey and see what it does for my condition. The reason I'm not worried about whey is that when I introduced raw organic goat's milk back into my diet after more than a year of veganism, I had a tremendous improvement in health and no ill effects whatsoever. BUT for many people milk is just as bas as gluten. Commercial milk is a no no for just about everybody.

I'm glad to hear your diet is working out for you and thanks for bringing up some of these issues, a lot of people can benefit from them. I'm not trying to piss on your parade or anything, but I think every person should seek out what makes them feel best and there is a lot of contradictory advice regarding diet since it's a very complex and misunderstood area.

Why are you hung up about milk so much, provided it's raw, grass-fed, no hormones or antibiotics?

Am I being difficult? :P

Thanks for your response!

@ Txacoli,
I've read many articles saying a HIGH FAT RAW VEGAN never works, but I haven't personally tried it myself

I think the reason why 80 10 10 doesn't work is because any sugar from fruit that your body does not use it is disposed by the body, while strach sugar that you do not used it gets store in the liver for when you need energy

LOL I would never eat raw meat, if you look up reason why humans should be hervibores and not omnivores you'll see why...
http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2005/0 ... bivores-2/
...besides we don't have a sufficent acidic stomach to kill bacterias from raw meat

Look up immunoenhancing (the rat test) but I think it's still bullshit in the sense that as human, nature stop our mothers from producing milk so we stop eating milk at a certain age (year 1 I think?), so why the fuck would we still consume milk? and not only that, but from a different specie that is injected with so many hormones? Besides, if you do turn RAW VEGAN your immune system will skyrocket...don't want to brag but I never get sick, I been to the doctor twice in my life (and one of those times was for my bad acne which cured once I went raw)

About Vitamin D, my belief is that because you are unhealthy right now (I'm assuming) there is something else that you are lacking or it's being block so Vitamin D can't be absorb by your body, no matter how many supplements you take. SO if you do go raw, it should cured that problem and you would not need any Vitamin D...you get enough already from the sun...but's that's my belief
I used to worry that I was Vit A deficiency but even when I overdosed on vitamin a pill I felt no difference...only until I went raw

Everything you're saying, I read and reread, tried, then questioned etc. I'm not disagreeing with you. But all this experience made me realize that fanaticism about food is not good. That's why I keep experimenting. So far I can conclude there has to be at least 70% raw vegetables in the diet, yes; another fairly accurate conclusion is that fat and sugars (disaccharides) and starches together are a no no. I'm still not sure about animal products, and if you read my post carefully, you could've seen that any animal products, meat, milk or eggs have to come from sources that haven't been treated with antibiotics and hormones, grass fed, etc. This is a must, otherwise it's doing more harm than good obviously. And I'm still not sure about adequate fat intake and the essential fatty acid deficiency.
The digestive tract argument for veganism really depends on whom you ask.
I agree the sugar from fruit is why 80-10-10 doesn't work.
And I agree deficiencies are probably not a problem when you're vegetable juicing, eating raw and are clean and healthy, except for the fat-soluble stuff, I'm still not sure about that one though.
I'm just saying, fanaticism is not good. I know you're not one because you're open for ideas. My point is, grains do much more harm than anything else really, but there are tons of vegans eating whole wheat pasta and are convincing everybody it's healthy and you get healthy fiber, etc. You know what I mean ;)
Anyways, I'll keep you posted how it goes with the whey thing, I'll post the menus and track exact macros and kcal intake.
I'm just trying to keep an open mind, because many raw vegans will persuade you you're in detox long after you should be feeling fabulous just like meatheads will persuade you you need to eat meat.
Thanks for your patience and good debate :)

@ Txacoli,
Agree with everything....and the reason why I think why starch from vegetables, not grains, should be the staple food is because ancient civilization based their diets on them. Some DID based their diet on wheat, and thus they can handle it...I come from latin american where my ancestors based their diet on potatoes and corn (but that's mostly mexico) so I think that the reason why I am a celiac.

Well good luck with your diet, cux dieting is hard! haha
I hate the fact that any experiment takes like a month to see if it works...

but i will pressure you to NOT TOUCH MILK....or whey, at least for 10 days and then add it to see if it fucks you up
and totally agree with detox dilemma....I say if in 10 days you don't get better, the you won't get better

I love that your enthusiasm is the same as mine! I promise I won't touch milk or whey in ten days :) Let the purifying begin! Then I'll add and see what happens, I'll keep you posted :)

Hey guys... honestly I feel really challenged with this diet thing. People around me wont take me seriously.... That sux, really, makes me feel uncomfortable. I want to do a big list of what TO EAT, and how to prepare each meal. Im getting a little bit depressed cause every time im going to eat im just not sure if I can eat "this" and "that". A couple days ago my dad was mad at me cause I rejected a glass of milk. My mom almost wanted to kill me when I mentioned that I wanted to eliminate any milk-related product from my diet. She said "Oh now cause someone writes something on the internet, it is true" cause I said that you can get all needed calcium from veggies.... I wish there was somebody here that could really support me. But im going to fight for it anyways cause its my life that is gonna get screwed if I eat crap.
I dont have money to pay a nutritionist... And if i wanna convince my family, I really need at least a list of things to eat.
At this point I know mostly what NOT to eat, but im just not sure about eating raw potatoes and carrots and stuff...
I mentioned this diet to a friend that is REALLY screwed up socially. He is taking it, but im gonna be his guide. So please, help me. If I could pay you for this I would really.

@Komma4ndo,

I went thru a similar situation but it was just my closest friends who would make fun of me...my dad got mad sometimes also.
And I can tell from experience that nobody is going to believe you, period. So YOU LIE, LIE LIKE A !@#$%^&*...
Tell your parents that you're trying a 10 day detox to see if it can increase memory (which it does) but don't tell them that you're going to switch you're diet forever, they'll think you're crazy

Also if they force you to eat gluten or wheat, simply pretend to eat it. LIke the glass of milk, just take it to your room and when you get the chance, throw it down the toilet.

WHAT TO EAT
  • All vegetables and fruits
    All meats and egg
    Water
    All herbs/spices
Make sure you only eat vegetables that are fresh, as in not in a package. ALso eat meat/eggs that they sell raw, don't buy any process package ready to eat meat.

THINGS TO AVOID
  • Anything in a box, literally...or plastic, like chips
    No sauces except for tobasco
Anything else not mentioned in the "to eat" list
This is a simplify version of what to eat. If it's fresh meat, vegetables, herbs/spices/tobasco or water...do eat it....IT's that simple...IF it comes in a box or plastic bag, dont eat it. Not sure if you can eat it? then DON"T eat it...
Keep in mind that there are HUNDREDS of exceptions to this....I can't just name them all...but just keep in simple in the first 10 days, and study while you do it. Like google up !@#$%^&* that it's gluten free and milk free, but don't worry about it too much.
And if you do notice this diet helping you, then you would definetely need to research in detail what to eat and not eat....or you can turn raw vegan (which is only eat RAW vegetables/fruits) and not worry about nothing, like me

BTW, there is a pua already talking about this somewhat

I think it is easier to go RAW. Im definetly stuck when going to restaurants, im like "Gimme the menu.... ok no.. no..no.. no...no...maaaaaybe....but no..... You know what, nvm goodbye".
Im just worried about the fact of some websites mentioning that people that "go green" turn to have some issues after some years, which ive never seen mentioned, but they say that they start having some issues. I think it is because they eat wheat.

Anyways, hopefully scientists research more about all this diet thing.

I just have one question... How do you eat a raw potato?! I mean... It tastes awful to me..
My point of view on this diet... Imitate a rabbit eating, done.

@ Kommando,
You can't avoid restaurants, especially if you're trying to be a pua
However, I would recommend avoid going to restaurants will people you already know (friends, family) because they will give you a hard time and temp you to eat bad food
But if you're on a day two with a girl, or a new friend....the ONLY thing you can order at a restaurant is: A salad with RAW vegetables only...NO CHEESE, DRESSING, or CRUTONS...that's it...Waiter are usally stupid so I usually tell them "I want a bowl of lettuce and onion...that's it, I am allergic to a lot of foods so don't mess up"

Most "green" people fail because they eat either wheat, or a diet based on mostly fruits...do not do either...I know they don't work

After one month of RAW, you won't mind potatoes. However, the mindset you have that you have to "enjoy" food does not work when going raw...you will fail miserably. Every time you eat raw, you won't get a kick of taste as you do when eating a burger, so everytime you eat raw tell yourself "I am eating energy, not food...it's not suppose to taste so good...food is a drug" and say it until you internalize it (like two weeks)

By the way, I don't want you to believe everything I say...I could be one fucked up guy lying on a forum. During the 4 years of researching diet, I found countless forums of people lying just to advertise some product.
Nevertheless, I have research for 4 years and try numerous diets, so if you do try to do this diet...please do follow it to the letter (as in what not to eat, what to eat...) I know i'm contracting myself but I do have more experience than most people on any diet forum....Keep in mind that the diet I advocate is one in which starchy vegetable (potatoes, carrots) is the main source of energy (as in, you have to eat starchy vegetables the most)
But I want you to reasearch anything related to diet, especially gluten/milk free diet on your own so you understand the !@#$%^&* I post on here

Good luck! cux going off dairy and gluten is almost like an addiction. You will have intese cravings, headaches, constipation BUT only for around 10 days. IF you try this diet for a month with no results, you're either cheating, eating something bad, or this diet does not work...DOn't go for 5 months trying this dieat while suffereing like some raw vegan haha

Ok Im just back from eating at a bar... Ordered Chicken with green salad, and specified to the waitress not to add any dressing at all. I hope Im not cheating, cause sometimes I just have to eat something and there is NOTHING around to eat, so I start drinking all the water I can.
I am probably cheating somewhere because I had the headaches, but no constipation, had a lot of starving, felt dizzy(like almost fading away in space), etc, and suddenly they went away on day 7th. Im going to retry since I think I failed. But here is my question...
Since I did eliminate all dairy and wheat products from my diet, and the only possible cheating Ive done was like drinking something that wasnt water, wouldnt that at least make a change? like, im not eating totally healthy, but ive eliminated the most poisonous food from my diet. Even ingesting a little bit of something innapropiate would screw me up?
