I think you should do your best and not try to make it be like it is when your wing is around. It's unlikely that you will behave the same and have the same energy when you are alone, comparing to when you're with a good friend.
It's all about taking the situation and adapting to it if you ask me. If you're feeling low energy run with that and do some game that is fitted to a low energy vibe. If you have higher energy later that night then change your game accordingly. It works much better than forcing your energy to be like it is when you're going out with your wing.
