I stumbled upon a girl's profile on fb. In her profile pic she was holding out a big sign saying she's fucking adorable. So I opened with this:

Me: There are quite a few fucking adorable people. What makes you unique is your modesty
[a day later]
Her: really?

There aren't many places you can go from that reply. I didn't bother answering yet. Another day later she changed her profile picture.


1. Does the opener come off as being cheesy? Does the fact that I used her words (fucking adorable) show [too much] interest?

2. In general, I assume a short reply like that one is an IOD. Though I guess the fact that she replied shows the slightest bit of interest. Do you think it's likely she was being sarcastic?

3. I'm considering busting her balls about changing her picture.
Maybe go with "I'd change that profile picture if I were you " (without mentioning if it's better or worse than the previous one). But this could be excessive since there is no rapport and I'm just stacking teases.
What do you think?


Later thought: I could also reply with "Your sarcasm is killing me."



PS: I'm just fooling around, not really looking for anything other than playful chat and teasing practice.

PPS: She's probably an 8 or somewhere around there. The two pictures don't show much. But there is some kind of energy around her in both of them; she could be a lot of fun.

No it was a good opener. I think she probably got the joke initialy, then you didnt reply, and she began to take it semi serious and so changed her pic.

That response could go either way. But if she changed her pic she might have thought you were being serious. You could give her shit for it, but if she has no sense of humor then it would obv backfire.

the problem with text is it can be taken in the wrong way, and making jokes in it can be interpreted in so many different ways, there is no emotional sub-communication to what is being communicated and no tonality to judge the way in which it was said, if she interpreted your comment as serious sarcasm, then you probably came off as a dick, instead of funny,

I assume you don't have too much rapport with this girl judging by how she is reacting, continueing to break rapport on her probably won't go very well, you should just be a little bit more playful and open make her comfortable instead of busting on her, then when she is comfortable you can tease a bit,

next time you get challenged like that, just challenge her back
