I want to stop doing this.
What exercises sepecifically would you suggest to help me become more reserved?

However, it can well be the case that somebody confronts you directly with it. Happened to me a few years ago. Result? I STFU.
What might also be the case is, that you're mind is working on a sort of auto-pilot. Relaxing and chilling out would then be my solution at least. And not stopping your behavior but fully wiping out your thought. _________________ look up tryphophobia on images.google.nl
