There's an HB8 back home that I met over Christmas before I came back to university, I managed to number close and we've been messaging each other fairly frequently.

However there's been about a weeks pause in the messages and there is no way I can meet her before easter. Therefore maintaining interest is going to be an issue. has anyone got any advice on it?

If you already have plans to see her, I wouldn't message her at all. Sounds like you haven't had a real relationship yet, it shows neediness to text too much before you've even had sex with her (and after, as well). Just back off, text her about once every 2-3 weeks.
