Forum rules

A Sticking Point or SP is an issue you CONSISTENTLY run into.

It is NOT a point where you get stuck with ONE SPECIFIC GIRL.

A Sticking Point is:
Quote:
I keep getting LMR whenever I bring girls back to my place. This has happened at least 10 times already! What am I doing wrong?
A Sticking Point is NOT:
Quote:
I got LMR with this one girl! What do I do?
IT IS AGAINST THIS BOARD'S RULES TO POST THREADS ABOUT JUST ONE GIRL
If you have not already gone out and practiced enough to have a real Sticking Point from meeting an ABUNDANCE of women, YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO POST HERE.

Hey,
My voice is kinda deep, and I have trouble holding a conversation when it is really noisey. I can't project my voice enough and I end up having to almost shout to someone who could be standing quite close to me. This makes it uncomfortable for me and probably them too, as they have to ask me to repeat myself a few times on average. Ive thought of asking them to a quiter spot, but this may not be suitable just after opening. Any ideas?

I have a deep voice too and I have a similar problem when in loud environments like night clubs. It took me a while of calibrating with my wings before I could get to a point where I could speak, loudly, and clearly that the opener was heard. I actually had to change my voice some so I could be heard better in night clubs. Just practice and calibrate.

It's hard to pull a brand new set to another area just so you can talk to them. They're going to have the mindset I don't know who this guy is and he wants to go with me somewhere, no way. So you can game in quieter areas or calibrate your openings.

Good Luck

You might consider taking a couple voice lessons. A good voice teacher can help you get loud without straining your voice. Lessons will cost around $40-80 each, depending on where you live and how well known the teacher is. There are also vocal exercises you can do before you go to the club that would help. Again, a good vocal teacher/coach can tailor this for you. Tell them exactly what you want. I would consider it money well spent, since this will also help with public speaking and other areas of life.

Good luck.

I have almost the same problem...I haven't yet been able to figure out how to change my voice to be audible in a club.

I see the vocal coach suggestion made quite a bit, any ideas on how to find one? Just doing a google search yields, well, less than desirable results.

You might call a local music school and find out who they recommend. Or call an instrument store (they often have guitar lessons but no vocal lessons) and see who they recommend.

I also recommend the book, Set Your Voice Free. It comes with a CD. Here's what Tony Robbins said about the author, Roger Love and this book:
"Over the years, I have worked with more vocal coaches-and tried more vocal techniques-than I care to remember. It wasn't until I met Roger Love that I gained 100 percent certainty that my voice would perform the way I expect and need it to. With Roger Love's new book, you too have the opportunity to learn from a truly amazing vocal master."
