Like most people new to the game and hoping to become a PUA, I have read "the game" by Neal Strauss. I noticed one problem with the book; its outdated. It talks about writing girls numbers on napkins, clearly precellphone days...

Anyway with that said, little advise was given on how to text. What to text, how soon to wait, how to reply to hers, etc.

I am pretty good at opening, demonstrating value, and getting conversations going, as well as getting the number close. Where I fail bigtime, is how to text/call her after I get that number. Sometimes I don't get responses, or they start ignoring me after a few days. I am failing big in the text game.

So question being, what are some good ideas for how to text a girl after you get her number? Should I call and not text at all? Do I wait for her to text? I don't know what I am doing wrong here.

Take point and text her first. follow the basics, don't come off as needy and use it strictly as logistics til you form a connection.
Or if you are a clever enough texter start your connection there.

Yes I have realized over texting a girl is a deathblow. But what are you saying? Stop texting her and call? Or meet her in person asap?

No no no, by calling not texting, if you don't have 10 different things to talk about you will drop into dead air quickly. I've spent an hour on the phone with girls I've dated with only 15 minutes of actual convo. Like I'm sure we all have.

You: "You want me to let you go?"
Her: "no your fine, I love hearing your voice"

If you don't already have something between you two this can get awkward.

Like I just said in a post before this, you should not be worried about how soon to text, be natural, act like your talking to a new friend, be curious and enthusiastic, your looking towards building momentum right now, nothing more. If you wait 3 hours to respond to her she may get bored. The only time this time restraint bs will have the most effect is after you already planted your seed. After she feels she's invested time with you and that will allow her to miss you.

The only reason people started doing this wait 10 minutes is because they had no life, they sat around the phone waiting, texting every 5 minutes asking if she's there. That will push her away quicker than anything. It's not the fact he wouldn't wait 5-10 minutes to respond, its the fact he acted needy before anything actually happened between the two, before any spark happened.

Well with cellphones, you get her number in two ways. Either she enters her number in your cellphone. Or you tell her to text you. In the latter, she will know who you are when texting her later, since she has your number already. This is good, since you don´t have to explain who you are - increasing the possibility of her not rejecting you.

What I like to do is to textopen with an inside joke from the night you met. or thank her for the last night (if you closed). Once I texted the girl after a week and asked "who is this and why are you named "cute girl in red" in my phone?", worked great. Just don´t come of as needy

I use txt game quite a bit, here are my thoughts:

If your getting slow responses or flakes from numbers, it's because you fucked up before you got the number, i.e. In set.
The most common problem is that you didn't build enough comfort. I'm able to get a number within 5 minutes but I'll get around 90% of those flake on me because basically I'm just another guy. If I spend 30 to 40 minutes in the same set and build comfort I get something like a 10% flake rate.
If I spend a few hours in set and bounce location, I've got a good chance of an f close, because the girl has enough time to make a judgement on your character and of course you've run solid game on her for a long period of time. Your no longer some other guy.

Assuming you've had a good set and a hard number close (one where you've built comfort):

Txt something relevant to you and her, a joke you had in set.
Or
Txt something random and funny. I recently set the frame in set that me and the hb were married, I txt something like:

"Your not going to believe this the new toaster for the mansion only comes in lime green, is that going to match the kettle? I told You that you should have come with me!x"

Always use emoticons where appropriate
Always use xxxx's at the end of txts, if she annoys you take them away. She will notice.
I'm thinking of awarding new girls three x's straight off the bat, then every time they annoy me in a txt I'm going to take one away, kinda like three strikes and your out. I wonder if the girl will bring it up when she's down to zero? I'm going to field test this as a new push and pull technique I think.

You have more chance of getting a response if you add .... To the end of a statement.
i.e. "I just saw something that reminded me of you...."

- You basically need to be funnier and more interesting than any other guy that might be txting her at the same time.

-Use sexual innuendo but pacify it with emoticons

-Don't go sexual unless you have at least kiss closed her, I find it awkward when you next meet, and harder to actually kiss close.

Depends on what you mean by sexual. Send nude pics? No. But you can get sexual, its all about the light you do it in. Give ended open comments like "you better not disappoint " could be taken three four different ways and you just let things build. You can honestly do anything as long as it calibrated the girls personality and she feels like neither you or her did anything, it just kinda happened. Most girls I talk to, sexual talk gets brought into it by day two which they feel they established. You just have to go about it correctly after you find common ground, connect, and separate yourself from the competition.

I have found the ... works well. I also started using a lot of Tongue emotocon. :p

If used in a cocky funny way its pretty effective. I've gotten girls to do it back to me then say something like "If your going to steal my tongue you better know how to use it." its been great.

Personally I prefer to text as its cheaper. Usually I will text a girl within 2 hours of meeting her. My standard text game runs like this, text something funny about how we met, don't leave your name as she will remember you. Give her a nickname. If you cannot think of one use "young lady" or "Miss"
