So my friends girlfriend is trying to set me up with her cousin. To help me out she had me follow her on twitter. So we have been chatting back and forth and she is definitely interested. Only one problem: She lives about an hour and a half away. Now, she isn't unfamiliar with the area I live in. My question is: How can I escalate to in person with her living that far away? My friends girlfriend isnt really being aggressive enough in getting her to come hangout with us so I feel I may have to do this myself before things die out. I feel like I can escalate to IM by now but I just want to know where to take it after that.

I actually entered into a 3.5 year long-tern/ long relationship that started out long distance online.

My suggestions are as follows:
1. forget IM. Get the girl's number, tell her that you're not going to be online much in the next little while so text is the way to go.
2. After exchanging a few texts, call the girl up, tell her that you are very busy over the next few days but you are dying to get over to "insert local attraction in her hometown here", and that you would like her to entertain you while you're there.

Now, this is crucial. After you meet with you, you HAVE to escalate physically, and quickly. Ideally you should F this girl before you head back. Otherwise, with the time and distance between you, if you don't kiss the girl you will likely end up in friend zone.

Thats along the lines of what I was thinking. Now, since she isnt unfamiliar with the area, her cousin lives here, is there anyway to invite her to come here at all? Just feel as though I would have a better comfort level in my hometown doing this.

A lot of this will depend on stuff like your and her age, what kind of obligations you have, etc. For the most part, unless this girl likes you an insane amount (unlikely, if you haven't had a chance to meet in person yet), I would think it would be really tough to arrange it so that she will come to town and have enough time for you to be able to isolate and close on her.

I think the only way this might work out is if you know that her favorite band is in town and you have tix, or similar. This isn't really solid game, as you know-- since you're basically already buying her stuff-- and its before you have even met her, suggesting lower value. It is almost like a bribe. Its not good.

Or you could wait for her to visit-- but you're not in the driver's seat, and that's not really how the game is played.

1.5 hours is a PITA, but I think its the best way to go.


I've slept with a good number of out of town internet dates on the first date. Generally, from hour 5-9. Timeshifting is CRUCIAL, as are all of your physical escalations.

If you go this route, I would recommend to have an excuse built in for needing to go back to hers. Maybe you need to catch your favorite TV show, or maybe your phone needs charging, etc. but "let's go back and F" probably won't work with an out of town girl on a first date. You need a plausible excuse that doesn't involve sex or else her self-protection anti-slut alarm will go off and there will be no sex.
