Hey guys, Im pretty sure most of us drink, get drunk and stuff..but im having this problem lately with drinking. Usually I don drink that much but recently for the past 2months or more i've been drinking non-stop a week at least 3-4times and im talking about drinking till im like super drunk. Makes me feel guilty every time after drinking and its costing me alot of money at the same time. I just can't help myself but whenever there is an opportunity. for example, friend's bday, celebration and all or even simply whenever my friends are bored we will ended up in the bar or clubs. Anyone facing the same issue as well? any idea how to stop this? I know its bad because its hurting my health not to mention financially too. Pls some advice guysss :)

I sometimes have phases like that. I'm a musician so everybody around me drinks all the time. But it's good you realize it and you can do something about it. Just realize you don't need alchohol to have a good time, even in bars, although it is difficult to be the only person not drinking. Take some time just for your self. Do something for your health, work out, eat clean and enjoy that feeling when your mind is totally clear. Dedicate yourself to work, or some other goals you might have and use that clear mind to get you there, like doing an upgrade of yourself. Go without alchohol for a month, just a month, you know it's temporary. You'll see how little of it you actually need. Later when you drink socially again, just ask yourself, do I really want another drink? You'll realize often times, you actually just want some water. You'll have a drink later, but at the end of the night you won't be completely hammered and you'll love that feeling. It's ok to get hammered every once in a while, but you'll function much better if it's just on special occasions. This will also give you a sense of empowerment and a much thicker wallet ;)

I went through a bad stage drinking after some family tragedy, anyway some ways that i beat my alcohol addiction was through keeping myself busy during the day, and at nite i would make it a fact that i wasnt going to drink. I would do watever it took, cooked, worked out, played video games watever. Just have to keep your mind busy so its not thinking about drinking.

WARNING: Depending on how much you drink your body may get withdrawal, i got withdrawal after 3 days not drinking and got sick as a result so going Cold Turkey has its ups and downs. I'd recommend skipping 2 days then drink then 3 days then drink then cut it down gradually like that to avoid withdrawal.

Also try to avoid stressful situations as they tend to spark emotions that cause you to turn to alcohol.
