Maybe I don't know what a porn addiction is.

I've looked at porn since 1981. A lot of it. I've looked at it in a professional capacity (as a pornographer) and as a consumer. Though I've known lots of people who were far, far more interested in it than I was.

Aside from a bad dry spell in the early-mid 1990s (when I wasn't looking at porn much) and another sort of self-imposed one over the last couple of years, I never had much trouble, and I never thought that porn interfered with dating or meeting women.

Quite the opposite in fact But your mileage may vary.

Which is more of a surrogate-- porn or World of Warcraft?

Well, I solved some of my porn problems. It really came to point where I need to reprioritize what I valued.

And I have to agree with what spandrel was saying, Porn wasn't really my problem. the propblem was me.

I really think that "porn addiction" is a symptom of something and not a problem in and of itself.

On the other hand, some people really DO seem to have a severe addiction to it. One of my old roommates had boxes and boxes AND BOXES of porn DVDs. I'm talking an apartment closet entirely full of them. Thousands of dollars worth would be my guess.

I used to watch porn a lot and i still watch when i am feeling alone i know i am a loser because i cant get them in real flesh so i have to rely on porn

I had a problem like this before but not too severe. what I did: I started a workout routine, at first It did not feel like I was making progress but one day a girl complemented my body and ever since I been worrying more about pumping iron than pumping the worm lol

Back when i was a young buck my brother and his friends used to have house parties with porn playing in the background and I thought it was cool. So naturally being a younger boy I would sneak the tapes and watch them by myself. But once I got older and actually met girls and guys in that industry. And basically found out it was all just fake setup sex. I was not really interested in it because I knew in Real life most females don't even let you do all that stuff with them or don't want to do it. Once I figured it's mainly all just a fantasy. Porn kinda just faded away for me as a whole. I think you should spend more time learning how to pickup ladies and being around real women. That way it will be way more interesting than just sitting at home looking at fantasy girls. Once you get good at getting women... you can then setup your own private porn... and guess what. YOU CAN BE THE LEADING ACTOR.. LMAO!
Trust me.... I have several unpublished movies.... ha ha ha!

I agree, bad for the mind and the body. My thing was/is once i saw one, i didnt want to see it again, i wanted to see a new one. Something about watching it for the first time that seems more exciting than one u've seen many times.

And I agree, alot of it is due to boredom. But as I think about, if your on this forum alot thats addiciting too.

TV is addiciting, net is addiciting, texting and facebook is addicting.
