-Computer Science: I used to be a computer geek and liked hacking
-physcology : i like to understand human beings and im calm


i heard computer science doesn't result in money....
please give me detailed information about both please !
what do you recommend ill really appreciate it

I don't know much about computer studies but i am a 5th year psychology student in Lebanon.
Psychology in lebanon is kinda different then in the usa. We're closer to the frensh. A lot more psychoanalitical.
But you actually might enjoy cognitive sciences of which a branch is cognitive psychology. The whole concept in a very simplisitc way is comparing the humain brain to a computer.
So you might want to look into that and get back to me or anything for more precise questions.
The ansewers to these types of question are never logical anyway. So just try and see where you see yourself best on the long terme. CAn you see yourself in front of a computer for the rest of your life? are you confortable having people depending on you?
You have to figure this out yourself. we cant decide for you.

i searched about Cognitive Science and i liked it ,but i think i cant find a job ,its all about experiment and studies...
btw what made you choose psychology ??
and what did you choose ..child psychology or sport psychology etc. .. ?

Well, it was the only thing i could see myself doing.their really wasnt any question about it, not to say it was some kind of calling.
My teachers always said that to become a psychologist we need to have some kind of inner pain, leading us to want to understand it and it in others to better understand in ourselves. which is why a lot of people quite after the first year. they find out that they were interested in it only because they wanted or needed therapy.
i dont know how it happens in the us but this kind of specialisation comes late. after the first year you choose either clinical, industrial or educational psychology. After the 3rd year you choose if you to go into research or not. Research allows you to teach in university later on and get your doctorat's degree. Not going into research alows you to open up a clinic. After the 5th year you are (kind of) ready to practice psychology. But this is the point where you choose you specialisation. i'm going into addictology next year. takes 1 year to get it. After that i m planing on doing research (since you already have a proffesional masters degree, a reserach degree is just one year). i might specialise in something else after that, dont know yet. i'm also planing on joining a psychoanalytical school in parallele to my university studies.
again i dont know how's the situation in the us, but i know that if you work hard enough, get great grades, get enough interships and experience, doors will open up for you.

Can't double major? I don't know about psychology as a profession very much, but I knwo that computer geniouses are usually the big billionaires if they strike gold. I would tink its hit or miss but thats just me..
