Me and my wing picked out a bar that we had some success with before, but when I got there last night, he was already seated at a booth with 2 girls across from him, so I sat. down.

The bar was darker and the music was louder than I ever remembered at that place. The blonde 8.5 across from me was asking me all of these AFC-style, getting to know you type questions, but when I tried to answer or ask her my own stuff, the music was so damn loud that only like 60% of what I said or heard got across the table, and it came off as me being like a dork and yelling seriously when I'd try to say something because then I'd get that put-off-looking nod/smile and she'd look off to the side, like "this guy's a dork"

With loud music like that, you almost have to "peck" in order to hear or talk to anyone. Then as it got even later the place really got packed and people are all smearing up against you. You can really only talk to girls who you happen to be crowded up near, and if they're not interested, oh well.

How do you handle situations like this. I'm sure loud music is a big part of most clubs, bars, etc. and guys who know what they're doing seem to make it work somehow. How? Again it seemed like a good venue before but now I don't know.

When she asks what you said, if she's not willing to lean into you, don't worry about. Just drop it.

And yes, in a crowd like that, you can't be skiddish about being smashed against other people. If you aren't comfortable being up against people, it will show. If you are comfortable with it, that will also show.

Either way, whatever you show, comes across to the guys and the girls in your vicinity. They percieve you one way or another just from that alone at times.

One thing I like about those environments is that it gives the girl more of a reason to have her head close to yours. Especially if you've got her attention enough to be interested in you. And you don't always have to use words to get a girl's attention. Smile at her. If she smiles at you, smile back.

Or, you can, if you have the guts, use a technique that Style uses that people don't talk much about. Go up to her, if she looks like she's a perfectionist, and slightly "adjust" her sleeve or something like that, give her a thumbs up and smile when you're done. You can either walk away at that point, if you're uncomfortable, or actually talk to her.
