I have known this girl for quite a while because she was going out with an ex-close friend of mine. I was never into her when she was going out with him because i wasnt attracted to her. but the girl and my friend have broken up a while ago and im sure you have noticed that girls usually tend to look so much better after a break up than in the relationship lol.

i see her from time to time at little get togethers as we have many mutual friends. last week i was speaking to her and usually when we see each other she is always happy to see me and we talk for a little bit about relationships and how it is hard to find someone nice and descent these days lol. but she always asks the same question "How is your love life?" every time. i just say the usual that there are a few girls at the moment but no-one special. but this girl always tells me that my friend wants to get back with her and clings to her too much yet she doesnt do anything about it. but particularly a few nights at a party ago she was talking about a guy that she was seeing (no-one special) and my friend was close by and she didnt want him to say anything in front of him. during this party she got insanely drunk and was acting loony and my friend was such an AFC (even though he is supposedly a good talker, not as good as me) was taking advantage of her by dancing with her very intimately and they probably kissed at the party. im not sure if she really wanted to get with him because she is still into him or just up for pay as she was drunk. i think i also made her jealous as i made out with one of the other girls at the party in front of everyone lol.

basically is she asking me "how's your love life?" just to make chit chat conversation or is trying to say that she is into me and waiting for me to make a move on her?

i would appreciate any suggestions. thanks

I think she is trying to say " I am your close friends EX, would you like to fuck up a good friendship just to get laid"

Could be, but not likely.. this is definitely a case of misreading signals. If you want to know if she wants to be more than friends with you then ignore everything she says, instead, focus on her body language when she's with you.

Signs she's interested:
- Open body posture facing you
- Standing in your personal space
- Looking into your eyes longer than the norm while talking to you
- Playing with her hair, touching you etc.
- Laughing at your jokes even if they're totally lame

yeah cos she could be asking you hows your love life because she's dying to talk about herself
