I was at Target and there was this girl looking at movies, so I just walked up to her and saiid "Hey, I got to go in a sec but can I get your opinion on something real quick? Then she said yea like she was happy I asked her, Then I said I'm getting my sister a dvd for christmas and I have no idea what to get her, so if you were to get an 18 year old girl something what would it be? then we started looking for movies and I was telling her what she likes and doesn't like, then I found toy story 3 and when we we're done looking I said what's your name and she said camila or something I gave her my name and said thanks for the help. Why did I want to post this? because she was giving me IOI'S a couple of times and I could have easily transitioned the conversation after I introduced myself but I don't know how? What could I have done differently to get the conversation going on another topic?

To keep the conversation going i would have treaded on the same topic of movies and instead of telling her what types of movies your sister dislikes or likes i would ask the question of what that girl's favorite movies and least favorite movies are. I would tell her my favorite movies and see if we compare or contrast. If we have some similarities i would ask her if she would like to go see a movie of a genre that we would both enjoy. If we contrast i would joke about how she could like such movies. For example if she said she liked opera movies, i would joke and exaggerate about how much i dislike opera movies. (Even if i don't lol. I recently watched sweeny todd and i quite enjoyed it.)

The way to transition into another topic is by talking about something else. Profound, I know. You could take the conversation in any direction you want, if you're not afraid.

After we trigger attraction in a woman, then the next step is to communicate romantic intent. First we make sure she likes us, then we show her we like her. When she really likes us, then there pretty much is no wrong.

BTW, congrats on the 1st approach.

Hey man.. I'm not saying you should not be natural.. but having in your memory some canned routines is not a bad idea at all. You will experience it yourself in field. Learn some gambits, some DHV stories and negs so just in case you run out of things to say you know you're prepared with something. I'm telling you this because I went natural and I was pretty good but when I ran out of things to say I was losing 90% of my sets. When I learned some negs and canned material.. I would just throw it when I was speechless and it carries the conversation on a hole new topic and it makes it even more interesting. Hope I helped..congratulations on your first approach. Lol funny thing.. Bout few weeks ago I had the same situation. I tried to game this girl (HB8),she was waitin for her brother he was gaming in the Arcade next to the Video Shop.. So she browsd thru the dvds 2 kill time +she was lookin thru the chickflick section,i walked up and stood next to her+
Me : "uh a girly girl.."
She : "excuse me?"
Me : "you got this huge smile on ya face while scanning thru chick flicks?"
She : "Haha.. Shutup! haha.. its just this one "What a girl wants" it holds nice memories for me.. Happy memories... And yeah i am a sucker for a great flick with a happy ending"
Me : "haha.. Yah i figured as much"
She : "and you? do you have nothing better to do then hitting on girls in videoshops?"
Me : "And here i thought i was conceited.. (i walk away from her to the opposite rack,but keeps talkin) actualy im lookin for a nice no voilence,PG rated DVD for my parents.."

lol We ended up picking 5 movies, Including The Incredibles. I got her number,we've been texting and she invited me to her brother-in-law's stage show,(this coming Wednesday)IM DEFINITELY goin for the F-close!! lol im a Total fish (newbie) to this.

After She gave you her "advice",you couldve said something like ,"well personaly im an action junkie,but a good comedy also takes the edge off lol" if she aint too stuck up she'll reply with what floats her boat moviewise.Meaning u get a response without asking her (DHV).Oh and be alil funny,try to steal a smile or two (build comfort).
