I was recently reading a blog involving tips for natural game with women, and confidence in general. The blogger kept stressing that when approaching and talking to a girl, a guy should always pick just one of her eyes to hold contact with.

I had honestly never heard of this tip before. I know eye contact is crucial and I'm good at keeping it without being creepy or intimidating, but I've never heard the "one eye" rule.

What are your thoughts and opinions on this? Is this your philosophy? How does it go for you??

Personally I think if it's during a conversation it would be better to look into both her eyes lol; I think it shows you're more interested in listening to what she has to say. Whenever I'm in a solid conversation with a girl, when I'm holding eye contact I try to express my reaction/emotions through my eyes as well.

For example, if it's a funny story or she's talking about a great experience she's had, I don't laugh while glancing at the environment around us. I try and show that I'm happy to hear the story not just by laughing, but by keeping eye contact and smiling with my eyes. If that makes any sense lol

I've never heard of the rule from a PUA, but I know that's what I do.

When you're more than 50cm away from the person, you can stay focused on both eyes simultaneously. That is not the case when you're closer. And the girl (or other person) may realize it. So to not have the other person realize that I'm looking at one eye, than the other, I will only look into one eye.

It doesn't change anything from a distance.

I've heard that if you switch between looking at one eye to the other every now and then, it will make your eyes reflect the light, therefore make your eyes sparkle.
Could be a bit obvious if you are really close to her, could also annoy her if you do it often.

Look into a chicks right eye, because it's convey signals to the left side of her brain, which is the emotional side(?) And this way, when your talking, you can create an emotional connection or something.

I just have to chime in here. I've discovered my next level in game.

I try to make as much communication as possible without saying a word. I'm only just realizing how powerful eye-contact is lately. I've always known and believed it's value, but now I'm using it intentionally, and to great effect.

I usually look into just her right pupil. Does it have any real value? Not much, if any, I'd say. I do think that looking at one eye is helpful though, because it gets you used to holding eye-contact.

The reason I started this was with people in general, as an analogue mark for embedded commands. I don't do this anymore, I think communication is so much more eloquent when you look at the bigger picture, and not on specific techniques. I don't recommend "using" NLP or hypnosis when interacting with women. Both those terms have there own limitations built into them, It's not the ideal approach.

Anyways, back to the topic. The real beauty is what you do with the eye-contact. I guess, as with every thing you'll learn with communication, it all comes down to the vibe you've got. Lately, I'll be a little cheeky at the beginning. Fun, but sexual. I love assumption stacking, and that softens the interaction, gets her investing. I naturally qualify loads, so I don't give women an easy time. Sometimes I'll do it playfully, sometimes I'll be really serious.

The goal of this is to build tension. I'm always looking to almost overpower her femininity. Once there's silence is when the eye contact really becomes a tool. As soon as there's any silence, where nobody is speaking, just look her into a single pupil and just look as if you can see 2 or 3 feet behind her. Like you're looking through her. Look as if you're imagining kissing/fucking her. Your eyes should be glazed over if you're doing this right.

Then, suddenly focus your eyes again on her pupil (sometimes I literally shake my head the tinniest amount and blink to readjust, which makes it look better). Then just give her a half smile, a very sexual one.

With this you've sub-communicated so much. The best response you can get from this is nervous giggling from her. You can follow this up with the triangular gaze, if you feel you should go for a kiss (although I don't recommend kissing a girl until she's on yours or her bed).

I'm a bit ADHD when I'm out partying, so I don't like being in the same room, or part of the room, for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. I'll hop along the house, chat to everyone, have short blasts of conversations with girls, and go off again, might see them later. I'll pick out a few I wanna get to know more.

I'm not at all amazing at pickup, but lately I've got a style that just needs a little tweaking, at a fundamental level, for it to be really great.

Damn, guess you already got to it. Yeah, it is a good move, and I have used it several times. The one thing I will say is this is something better used after an attraction is built. It can help but I've noticed it is better used when there is already attraction.

I do appreciate the intimate gaze too, using both through out the night is key. I use the right eye trick during a conversation after a little attraction is built. If you are on a date for instance during dinner you can use the one eye trick with a little bit of intimate gaze added. Toward the end of the date start elevating the intimacy by looking down at her lips and building up for the kiss.

Mix this in with closing the distance, kino, and attraction you got a pretty easy close.

You align both right eyes, so you put your chair slightly left. You are trying to make it so that both of you guys are looking each other in the right eye.

I don't know about this technique common sense, but I can say that I've had a lot of success with the "triangle" technique (eye 1, eye 2, mouth). I always used to think it was a load of rubbish, but tried it a couple of weeks ago and since then I've been getting all sorts of compliments about how nice my eyes are!

I'm not sure about staying in one eye, I think it would make me uncomfortable to be honest. A bit too starey/creepy for me, but if you can pull it off it may well work.

Personally, I think all you need for eye contact is just that, "eye contact." I don't think you need to look at just one of her eyes or one eye and her mouth or whatever other shit is taught today. Look into both of her eyes. If it's too intimidating, work through the fear. This is how you build your natural game, by extinguishing all fear.
