Ok so ive been texting this girl for about two days, got her number from a friend but havent actually spoken to her in person, but we have had a quick glance at each other before...
I know/think i got her hooked because she replies fast always with smiley faces and xx, so here's what i said to try and suggest we meet up.

After a few fluff messages every thing going well few laughts bla bla:

ME: Terrible weather might ruin my plans. (the weather was really bad)

HB: What plans :-)

ME: Crap, i sent this to the wrong laura, dont worry ours is still on scedual..

and thats it, no reply, now i dont know if she is busy or not, or just gone cold.
should i just ignore and start a new topic with her or try something different?

Now that was a prime example of over-gaming

Start a new topic something funny about what you last talked about.
Then schedule a meet up as soon as possible.
To much time texting without interaction gets old and quick.
Time to pull the trigger.
Also, when inviting her to see you,
get her on the phone so you can verbally talk,
that way it is more personable.
Remember to always smile while you talk
on the phone, because people can hear a smile through the
phone and it is comforting and makes them smile too
which builds attraction in association with you.

Eh... I'd say you might've gone too far. I agree with above posters. Meet with her quick, if she still will, and go from there.

If she's hooked to that point where she's immediately texting you back with lots of xx's and smileys, there's no reason to "punish" her by saying you're meeting with another girl. That screams "Player" to her and she might be turned off by it already. Salvage if you can by calling and setting up the date. Remember, neg her if she's being arrogant or bitchy, not if she's doing what you want her to.

Its not a huge deal, but over negging a woman who isn't attracted enough (hooked) is a classic mistake.

Basically if : the neg > her emotional investment

she is likely to eject.

You could always just text here "You know I was just joking about the other Laura right? What are you up to?"
