My experience with free sites that are aimed towards dating hasn't been great at all. Most of the girls I find on sites like PlentyOfFish or OkCupid take it way too seriously and look at every single tiny detail and if they find just one small thing that is off putting they won't reply to your message no matter what you say. Again, just my experience.

I've met quite a few girls online and convinced them to come to my house the same night but these were girls from social networks like Tagged/Myyearbook (mostly those two). I'm sure there are some people who have success with sites like PlentyOfFish and OkCupid but you need some strong pictures to back up your profile. In my opinion OkC and PoF is mainly a pictures game and some girls simply will not talk to you no matter what you say if your picture doesn't scream hot to them.

A lot of superficial people tend to stick to those sites too.. a lot of psychologically messed up girls (the single moms with 2 or more different baby daddies who don't drive and don't have a diploma). I've seen quite a few of those on there. I think in total I have met maybe 2-3 girls in several years spans off of PoF and not a single one off of OkC. It's a waste of time for me, but for some it works.

Hell I even tried only messaging people that had the highest match % on OkCupid like in the 80-100% region. Still to no avail I didn't have any luck. I don't know how the girls generally are in London but from the few I've talked to, they seem so much more easier going. If you live in a large city, then it won't hurt to try out different opener on a few thousand girls to see what happens. Me, I live in a small town of 10,000 secluded in BFE so I have to carefully split test openers and what not.

Have had tremendous luck with POF, but very poor with OKC. I'm beginning to think the mistake I made on OKC was taking too many tests and giving too much info. Probably destroyed any mystery. Gonna have to remedy that situation, and see if anything changes.

For you guys who are struggling with POF, just make sure you keep yourself in shape and well groomed... and post only the most flattering photos.

My profile on POF demands certain standards from women, which may also be of importance. Desperation = failure.
