I was curious if any members of this forum know about weightless exercises for the following muscles:

- Traps

- Lats

- Mid back

- Hamstrings

- Forearms

I'd like a list of two or three because I generally like to swamp out my exercises every few weeks to prevent my body from adjusting to the workout. The primary function of this request is to have workouts I can do even if I miss a workout and or if I don't have access to weights or training equipment. The last thing I want is to be able to make an excuse for not to maintain my health.

Maybe check into the Supreme 90 Day workout routines. The product is excellent and also very cheap (less than 20 bucks). It has all that P90X has and might be exactly what you're after. No Gym required for these exercises.

get one of those $20 doorway pullup bars for lats and mid back. Hang a towel over the bar and do pullups that way to help work your forearms, or do timed hangs from the bar with added weight.

For hamstrings, try 1 legged glute bridges with weight held on your stomach, and pistol squats are decent.

I bought a 55# kettlebell a while back and will do 150-200 swings on days I can't make it to the gym but need to work my hams/lower back/forearms. Hill sprints also hit the hamstrings nice, but also thrash the quads and calves.

Punching air called "Shadowboxing" Works your back and forearms.
jumping rope works the forearms as long as you turn the rope using wrist rotation.
*kneading bread is a great forearm workout.
Squats for hamstrings.
pull ups for lats and traps back and forearms.
push ups for traps

Lol push ups for traps,
Shadow boxing for forearms and back loll

Push ups for chest (slim chest, won't get big just doing this) and some tricep.
Shadowboxing is mostly just endurance, stamina, some aglity. U won't gain anything simply doing that.

Hey brothers,

Weight lifting is simple. The most simple rule is for every reaction there is an equal and opposite reaction. So for every push there is a pull as listed below. If you don't train the opposite muscles you look like a warb for example you see those guys walking around with a huge chest but rounded ugly shoulders and a hunched back.

For your chest do normal push ups, do triangle push ups i you want to work your triceps, Dips are also awesome for the chest too. You can progress by either putting a weight on your back or wearing a weight vest/backpack or doing more reps.

The opposite of you chest is your back so do pullups theres heaps of shit to do pullups off like a childs play equipment or those door pull up thingies. Then you need to do a rowing motion for you back so pick somthing up a heavy 10 - 15L water bottle will do and perform a dumbell rowing motion.

Do overhead presses for you shoulders with anything you can find. You can even do a handstand against the wall and do that same motion which is awesome if you can do that.

Then do squats for you legs holding some kind of weight. Also do shuttle runs to hit your hamstrings.

I hope this helps.

I will say this thought If you want to fuckN huge

go to the gym and do heavy weighted squats which work almost every muscle in the body. Follow this up with heavy deadlifts which are the opposite to the squat and you'll be amazed by how big you'll get.

Hi dicklow,

The simplest workout for all round body workout is pushups, bridge ...

Routine for pushups:

- First found out how much you can do it at once. If you fall in a group where you can do 30 - 50 at once. If you can do more make more repetitions for each set. Important aspect as well is that you increase the intensity. You can make routine harder by doing diamond pushups. Routine that i do looks like this :

- Set 1 : 30 repetitions
- Set 2 : 25 repetitions
- Set 3 : 20 repetitions
- Set 4 : 15 repetitions
- Set 5 : 10 repetitions

= the key here is the rest and it is only 1 min. Try to rest no more then 1 min.

After you do this workout routine (it takes about 10 min) you go straight to bridge (it is exercise where you are like in pushup position, but you rest on your elbows.)

- Set 1 : Be in that position for about 1 min, or depend on your current fitness level. Do it twice in a row with as little as possible rest.

The whole circuit do twice. The whole exercise take about 30 min. You can still consider other workout routines like sprinting (it activate all muscles), biceps lifts, triceps lift, and something like that. Depend on what kind of results you want to create? If you want for you muscles to grow it's highly recomended to go to gym or start lifting weights, but if you want to keep the current level of your muscles or if you are beginner it's good the routine that i present. If you are interested in more weightless exercise there is great collection of those on "Men's Health" site. I recommend that you try different exercise and after a week see which routine challenge you more or create best results and modify the whole routine.

Hope i help you. Peace. :D

Skater dick, thanks, but I'm also looking to work out my lower body. By the way I've come up with my own work out. Fairly simple. I have one or two work outs that I can switch to. So now its quite easy for me to work out.

I just want some weightless back ups. So that I don't make excuses for not working out. So far I've come up with two. I just want to know if there are any more weightless exercises. If not, I'll be content with what I have and simply use it as needed.

^Those are the best upper body exercises. You could even consider them a full body upper body workout.

Lots of tutorials on the internet

Haha great exercise I just don't have the upper body strength to do that stuff yet. This stuff is definately not for the novice. I'll stick to regular push ups and chin ups for now.

getting big using only calisthenic exercises is totally possible, dont let anyone tell you any different because chances are they dont know wtf they are talking about.. have you ever seen how big male gymnast are? they've never lifted weights in their entire life, mike tyson in his prime, did not lift weights either and he was huge! many wrestlers also do not lift weights, all of these people i mentioned have achieved great altitudes only using body weight exercises.

dont believe me? go on youtube and search a guy called "hannibal for king" he'll answer your questions, you'll be amazed.
