| The reason I say invite her out, when you are already out with friends is for this reason. If she rejects you, then you say, "No big deal, I got to get back to my friends, later." Where as otherwise she shot you down, and she knows you're now sitting at home alone. That's the difference in the social proof of that statement.
For your example, I'd call her when I'm already out doing stuff. Hey me and my friends are going to catch a movie, do you want to tag along? Yes, cool we're at blah blah blah, see you soon. When she arrives, my friends got bored and went to that new place whatever, or went into an earlier show.
I typically don't like inviting a girl to the movies. It's like a wasted hour. You're sitting there and you can't talk. You can't keep building comfort. Sure you can light kino and kiss but that's it. Also, it's hard to do that if A) She's really into the movie B) You haven't done it already C) she might not be comfortable with you yet.
I like the movies too but prefer to invite her out to shop, eat, workout, just about anything that can let us talk.
You'll be fine!
