Hey guys im from Murwillumbah, near the Tweed. I keen to go sarging up in Brisvegas, there's no one really into it down here hey. I don't wish to sound negative, as I'm very new to all of this - does this actually work in Brisbane? I'm reading The Game, and I know Sweater is/was here. Maybe I'm too hard-bitten and cynical, but I just don't see how it could work, especially in a city as low-brow as this.

As I've said elsewhere, consider me Faithless. I'm reading the book and honestly want to believe it's true, and if even some of it is, there may be hope of achieving something real.

Hey BadKarma, if you are questioning the validy of this stuff try it out at see. You will believe my friend. On a personal level I have used this stuff on and off for the past three months. It does work, however, you have to have the confidence to pull it off otherwise you get blown out. I have been blown out many times, because i havent had the confidence but that is the only way to learn, when it works it fucking rocks. Doing that stuff gives you an overall natural approach that will make you appear as if you have the confidence to not get blown out of the water with routines. Confidence IS the issue here, and is something people in my life worry about. I know that at the heart of it, not being able to talke to women is the reason I lack any self esteem. I have, however, done two things in the last week that have seriously changed my situation. (Okay, three, but reading The Game doesn't count. They are:

1) leasing a nice little townhouse in the inner suburbs, and

2) started a training course with my job that leads to a major pay increase.

I still wouldn't say I'm awesome (though I'm thinking I won't admit that outside of here), but I can hinestly say I don't ever recall feeling this good about myself.

Keen on what? Watching your magic or winging? I can assure you right now I'm in no state to do the former. I'd think mailman would be an ideal rookie wingman though. Same age, somone you can give pointers to.

Hey BadKarma, it sounds like your really getting into some solid principals to live life by, the book The Seven Habbits of Highly Effective People by Steven R Covey is a fucking brilliant book on personal development. It has seven chapters, I have read the book and applied alot of that stuff and I can honestly tell you that it does work. If your interested in that stuff then buy the book bro. It will give you more stuff for your life in after reading the first chapter then all of the pick up stuff will. (it doesnt give advice on girls though). You could not possibly read that book without telling me that you dont feel the slightest bit better about yourself, your ambitions and you direciton in life. It can alos be downloaded from limewire in a audio format. That is also good.

Haha, with the pick up stuff I mean wing. I am in no way very good at this stuff, I am learning it slowly, trial and error. I am pleased to write I have had success to let you hear form someone thta it can work but for the times it has worked I have been rejected at least ten times the amount. But I dont mind I am learning. Never fear mistakes, only fear the correction of mistakes right? (thats a quote from the seven habbits book by the way). I think that if you selectively use it you are better off not using it and you may have better success, but, when you have a firm grasp of it you will be better then ALL naturals which is higher then you can ever achieve normally so it is better.

Thanks for the recommendation on the book. My black hole extends a Hell of a lot further than just the game, but as I've mentioned elsewhere, I think it stems predominantly from lack of game.

I've started re-reading, and my mind is just as blown away second time around. I've learnt that get obsessive about something leads to heartbreak, and the last time I did so resulted a in major shift in my personality. Of course, I caught one-itis and gave up my dream for an ex-. That one, I learnt the hard way.

I still need to work out whether I'm ready to actually go out and try any of this. Of course, if you're needing an AFC to play off of I think I could do that just fine.

As for the rohi... My arse is exit-only.

Brisbane has a lair, it's not hard to find if you google it. (can't post the address yet cos this is my first post on here) You will have to put an application in, and open some sets in front of some of the senior members of the lair to get access, but hell it doesn't matter how badly u stuff up, just that u have the balls to do it and that is generally enough to get access. You get access to some experienced guys in your own city and a legion of ready made wings, so it is worth a look.

I'm hoping that there's still some people browsing this topic. As the subject line suggests, I'm completely new at this and quite apprehensive about making approaches -- I used to have fairly bad social anxiety and vestiges of that still linger. I've done some reading on seduction and I'd like to go out a few times and see some experienced people in action, and/or get together with some other neophytes and start the necessary crash-and-burn-to-learn process. I'm not quite confident enough to start out completely solo.

I'd also like to join the local lair, mentioned in a previous post, but I'd prefer to have opened a couple of sets first (I don't want my first performance to be for an assessment; the idea of approaching is intimidating enough as it is).
