| It all depends. My favorite "dates" aren't dates at all. The best things are something that interests you that you're already doing and then she just "tags along." That demonstrates so many good things it's unbelievable. I'll let you think about it for yourself.
For example, I am going on a 20 mile bike ride, but I meet some girl. "Hey I'm going on a bike ride by the river tomorrow, would you like to join?" If she isn't the athletic type and still wants to go, just tone it down for her, or maybe she's awesome and LOVES long-distance bike rides.
"I'm going to stop by Wal-mart. I need a gift for my niece, but I have NO IDEA what to get her. Would you want to come with and help me out?"
"I'm going to my buddy's house party tonight and they've got live music, would you like to come with?"
It's pretty easy to just live an exciting lifestyle and bring her along for the ride. It doesn't have to be partying, extreme or anything high-octane, but you have to ENJOY whatever it is you're doing. That's important. Whether or not she's interested is only sort of her problem. LEAD the interaction.
Of course, if you don't know much about the girl (a.k.a. blind dates, etc.) you might want to just do something simple that both of you can easily escape if you aren't feeling it. For example, coffee!
Most towns have a coffee shop somewhere. Even if not, you can stop at a gas station and go find a public place to chill. There's always libraries, scenic outlooks, the top of a skyscraper, WHATEVER. Just keep everything open-ended. A plan for the night defines an outcome before you have a chance.
There's my input on "first dates" lol. Hope you enjoyed it.
