I do work and have money available, mainly through odd jobs for friends and through other means which i don't feel able to tell someone without being able to fully trust them. I'm asking about as many tips or hints as possible towards getting a good, stable job and possibly a good career ?

Do something you enjoy. There's countless careers to choose from. Look into what you like to do and try to get a job doing it.

I'm asking more along the lines of any tips that would go towards making my search for a job in the meantime more succesful ?

Hit the gym! Get in shape! I see that you're from the UK, as am I, and they aren't recruiting in any of these public services so your chances are slim. My dream is to join the police too but gonna have to wait it out until they begin hiring again.

You could also do online work. I've heard some people who earn good money from online work. The key is you have to enjoy it otherwise you won't do well and you won't earn as much.
